I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it was a total letdown. When we checked in, there were tons of sugar ants everywhere—on the nightstand, the bathroom counter, even near the bed. To make matters worse, there was a blood stain on the comforter. It wasn’t huge, but still—completely unacceptable for any hotel that charges what this one does. The vibe could’ve been charming, but instead it just felt dirty and neglected. For the price, I expected something boutique and well-kept, not something that made me want to sleep on top of my clothes. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually cares about cleanliness and guest experience.

Though the room was nice and we received a few complementary items (which were much appreciated), I received an email less than 24 hours before checkout that management had changed and that I should vacate the premises as soon as possible but no later than 9am on Monday, November 10th. This email was sent at 1:05pm November 9th. This put a bit of stress on the remainder of our last evening in Orlando as we were unsure if we would lose access to our room and that we should leave immediately but no later than 2 hours BEFORE our original checkout. I booked this trip in February so to receive notice less than a day before was very disappointing.

There was no hotel staff on site, small ants were crawling all over the hotel room, the AC barely cooled the room at night, and the whole bathroom got soaked during each shower since there was no door an only a fixed “rain” type shower head. On top of all that, there is an open air courtyard on the premises, but I was told I could not sit there at 10am because the bar/ cafe adjacent to the courtyard was not open yet. I was not asking to be served or catered to in any way, I simply wanted to sit in the open courtyard of the hotel that I was paying to stay.

Run, Don’t walk…Away from this place.

Upon arrival, the room we were provided was nothing like what was advertised. It was about a third of the size, no microwave no fridge hardly any light. The bathroom was also not as advertised. When this was brought up to the front desk, we received nothing but excuses. We were told there was a disclaimer on the website., However, we did not see one. When we asked for a refund, we were offered a voucher I informed that we would not be returning. I was instructed by the receptionist to contact the third-party that we purchased the reservation through. after spending an hour and a half on the phone with the third-party we were told that we needed to request the refund through the hotel first. Thought it might be useful to know that while we are awaiting on the phone, another patron had went up to the front desk and asked for a refund due to the condition of their room, and he was given the same excuses as we had received. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Great room and location. Only note - it would be amazing if the courtyard string lights could be turned off from 12AM-6AM. It was SO bright inside to room all night long and I didn’t have an eye mask.

The historical hidden gem tip of Orlando!

We really enjoyed our stay at a historical hotel. The atmosphere was very peaceful and the location very convenient. The staff at the Wellborn restaurant/pub were exceptionally personable. We were served by both Zaron, who was very informative regarding specific restaurants. Greg and Zaron made us feel very welcome. Loved the vibe of the place indoor and out.

A Downtown Dream Getaway

Everything was amazing. Check In was super easy. The on site staff were super helpful and approachable. Parking right in the driveway like you are at home. Walking distance to downtown and all the fun surrounding neighborhoods. Even a fun porch off our room.

Nice but when you look close, a bit dirty

The room vas very spacious which is why I wondered why small refrigerator was just sitting on the floor and not on a cabinet. Refrigerator door bottom drug on floor making it hard to open, then had to bend over to get anything out. Thi morning when I took a shower the shower walls had dozen of hair strands all over it.

Confusing

Check in was supposed to be via link; I never received the check in email. I had to call customer support to receive the link for check in and for my room number. There was no front desk that I could see and had to search for where the room was. About 10 minutes after arriving, we finally found the room. Check out was for 11am, but by 9:30am someone was knocking on our door to make sure we were going to checkout.
