THE GOOD PART: My room was clean, and the bathroom was VERY clean. The host is absolutely nailed that part.
EVERYTHING ELSE: Not the best experience…
This place is a very large house, with over a dozen bedrooms that are all numbered like hotel rooms. It is located inside of an extremely upscale gated community resort. This resort obviously had a lot of HOA rules, as evidenced by the various parking and garbage rules that I was sent in my agreement to stay there. That is understandable, but it also felt like I didn’t belong there. Any gated community that is so upscale and expensive would probably have rules against renting out houses like this to multiple guests passing through. That was super weird.
The parking situation was abysmal. They had painted a series of parking spaces into the cement, which included a sideways parking space that blocked the other cars. It was hard to get out of the house the next morning due to being blocked by another person‘s car.
Next came the long list of house rules. I can understand the need to have them, but would it kill the hosts to say please? Instead of saying “DO NOT…”, how about saying “Please refrain from…” I also received them multiple times via emails and texts. Redundant.
The bedroom doors were also super thin and cheap, and although they did lock, they could easily be kicked through. Not very safe.
Lastly, I was forced to upload a picture of my driver’s license to check in. Not cool.
Would not stay again or recommend.
