Spacious Home Near Disney - honest review from group of 11

Our family of eleven stayed in this rental for nearly two weeks. We loved the location near Disney, Medieval Times, and Wal-Mart. Overall, we had a great vacation, and hope this information helps future renters.The Positives: Gated community with added security. Access to resort amenities—heated zero-entry pool, poolside bar, playground. Nice pool area with a lake view and plenty of seating. Kids loved the ducks! Clean bedding, bathrooms, and extra pool towels. Well-stocked kitchen (no Keurig). Bonus game room in the garage with a fan, though doors didn’t open. Spacious layout with plenty of sleeping space.The Drawbacks: 25 per-car fee for gate passes, limited driveway parking, no street parking. Check-in issues—unclear keypad instructions, no manager phone number, spotty Verizon service. Furniture wear—two broken chairs at kitchen table, unstable barstools. Pool maintenance—algae buildup occurred during our stay, non-working jacuzzi despite reporting it. Expensive heat. Bunk room window had no covering. Master bedroom TV remote didn’t work.Final Thoughts:Good for large groups on a budget. No issues were deal-breakers. We'd likely stay again but would get the manager’s phone number before arrival since it was disconcerting having no method but the VRBO app to contact them.

I would give this property a 7/10. The house needs renovated very badly. Now for our family 3 teens and 3 adults it was fine. If we had little children , no! The pool itself was fine but the screens are all torn up: had ducks inside twice. Furniture was in bad shape. Outside and some in the house. One window in the front bedroom is damaged and we had water inside a couple times. Maintenance came our first day and cleaned it up. The shape of the house we weren’t worried about our kids doing anything there. If families have small children they should be very careful because of the pool area.

FAMILY GET AWAY

Our favorite part was sitting by the pool watching the ducks. The view was of the fountain was beautiful. The pool furniture was not great but we still enjoyed ourselves.

The good the bad and the ugly

The good, location and house layout along with a warm pool. The bad, very few linen supplies, very limited cookware, dirty vents that need cleaning. The ugly, patio furniture not worthy of a homeless encampment. The chairs all had broken support straps and the cushions had no padding, 10 years past their expiry date. Considering most of the time is spent outdoors, this furniture was unacceptable.

Winter Vacation

Our family stayed here for a week in February. House was large and in a nice resort community. Some minor repairs/ updates could be done, but other than that it was a nice house. They had the pool heat turned way up which was great because the weather wasn't the warmest. This allowed us to be able to swim all week. Kids had a great time!

House is falling apart and dirty

Baseboards were falling off. The house was dirty and in need of maintenance. We rented this house for a group and were embarrassed for booking this home. The location and community is great though. Would recommend another house in this development just not this one.

Awesome House!!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in this home. We were surprised by amenities offered by the resort. There is something for everyone to do. There weren’t any infants in our party, but their are pack an plays as well as strollers available for use inside of the home. We had a great time playing foosball and pool. The kids especially loved swimming the pool!! We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next stay!

Beautiful view. & Great Pool

We really enjoyed our stay! This home was perfect for our four generations to enjoy our family time in warm and sunny Florida. Highlights of the home were the beautiful pool (slightly larger than most) which overlooks a lovely lake with a beautiful fountain. There is a lovely walking path all around the lake. The Home has one of the best locations in the community of Terra Verde. It was just a 2-3 minute walk to the beautiful community center yet far enough away to escape the extra noise. The center has complementary coffee and a library/ seating area that was an added bonus when we needed somewhere to comfortably wait for a late flight after the 10 AM check out time. The community center has a large pool, shuffleboard, nine hole pitch and putt, mini golf, ping pong, basketball, volleyball, and a playground/ little sand area great for preschoolers. (And if you have little ones, buy a cheap loaf of bread at Walmart to cut into cubes. Feeding the ducks was great/ inexpensive fun for our 3 1/2 year-old little girl.) The home was exactly as described and as we had expected with comfy beds and nice family room furniture. It is older and not “state of the art”… But when you have little ones, that makes it much more comfortable and livable. We look forward to returning at some point in the future.

Family Christmas

There were a few things that should be looked at on the property. Slow drain in the master bath, screen door arm was lying on the pool deck, pool deck chairs were broken, and the backs of kitchen stools were very loose. The smoke alarm in the living room needed a new battery and the property manager was VERY prompt in replying but the technician that came had a 3’ ladder for a vaulted ceiling two gentlemen came back several hours later but the chirping had stopped so thankfully we didn’t have to listen to that all day. The ceiling fan and vents need to be cleaned. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. My mother who doesn’t get around well loved being in a gated community, was able to easily access the shower and even got in the pool! Daily garbage pickup was great during the Christmas holiday! Communication with property manager was great. They replied within minutes. Thank you for letting us rent your property!

Family vacation

The house was very nice and clean. The reservation system was very good. Contact with was good. Response to queries was good. The negative points were that the swimming pool water was always cold and i paid for heated pool, the fence around the pool back yard was broken at some location which made it easy for animal to come inside on the swimming pool area and also the pool table was in very bad condition. Not able to play pool properly. Remaining was very nice. Nice view. We enjoy our vacation as a family.

Nice place

This property was nice and had room for all of us. Management replied back quickly with a minor fly problem in the game room and handled it professionally by having the exterminator come out the next day. It's not to far from the parks or the outlets. I would stay here again next time we plan a trip to FL

This property and its furnishings look and feel aged. Everything is in major need of updating.

This property had the space and pool we needed but the goodness ended there. Everything needs to be updated from the brown dingy carpet, stained lanai, stained shower grout, old interior paint to the aged furniture throughout the house. I would not rent it again unless it was updated.

Lots of room and Nice Pool

Very roomy with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Kitchen was nice but I had to go buy a frying pan, the one pan was burned and chipping. Nice pool although the heat was not at-warm temperature at check-in nor turned on or not at warm temperature the day after check-in; technician was called and temperature got warmer. Then the next day, it stormed and breaker cut off pool. The pool was turned off and not flowing our last full day. Technician was called but pool was not in working order with flowing water from whirlpool and no lights.
