I enjoyed staying above the pub in the heritage hotel. Staff were friendly and a friendly atmosphere in the pub. Dinners were good too!

The carpet was.not vaccumed properly. It stated on the web page rooms serviced daily but that didn't happen. Some of the tapware in the toilets/ shower areas loose and not working properly.

There were a number of rooms requiring a shared bathroom, but the only female bathroom had only two toilets and one shower. There was also a restaurant at the end of the corridor. It is not known whether the bathroom also served customers of the restaurant.

Took the cheapest option - a single room upstairs in the old pub building - comfortable, clean and quiet (on a Thursday night) with shared bathroom facilities. Good dining options, friendly staff and effective wifi. All-round decent value for money
