Summer House is better than new! Close to $40M invested in the buildings since 2020 with $24M invested in the past two years. Construction is complete!
Please NOTE, as of March 2026, we just finished up a COMPLETE Interior renovation. We will update the pictures as soon we are able to show the completed projects. The only thing not getting renovated are the solid wood interior doors, since they are better than what they sell today! New floors, cabinets, appliances, bathrooms, furniture, granite. So much we cannot take pictures yet!
As you enter Temporary Sanity in Orange Beach, our name for Summer House 1104A, the first thing you will notice is the upgraded, professionally decorated, and recently renovated finishes. You smelled the fresh salt tinged air walking up to the door, but when you open it you see the bright white colors, beautiful wood grains and fantastic decorations that tell you…”we’re at the beach!!!!”
The balcony…this one has it all. The famous Summer House over-sized Patio with privacy walls…and the A building “04” units are over the pool by the beach. Yes, you can see the pool festivities if you like, or you can hang back and catch some sun in privacy.
Summer House currently has a sandbar about 50’ offshore. This creates a fantastic break for kids to play on the beach and it also has the effect of drawing the smaller fish to the bar. Where there is dinner, there are patrons and those happen to be dolphins! From 1104A, you can clearly see the dolphins and rays doing what dolphins and rays do….and is also a great place to catch what the Blue Angels do too!
This is a truly a second home personal property and is outfitted for the owner's family comfort which they are generously offering to share with your family! The unit has >200MB high speed internet and modern generation TV’s in each room. In fact, the owner insists on quality televisions and amenities. The living area TV is a 65" LG OLED TV with Dolby Surround Sound. That is not standard in most beach rentals! The SmartTV functions are native to the LG TV.
All the other TV's are also high quality modern Smart TVs. The Master King bedroom features a 65" Roku enabled TV and has an en-suite bath. The second King bedroom has an 48" LG OLED SmartTV. The dual Queen third bedroom has a 55" Roku TV, which is usually the kids "hangout".
You can comfortably enjoy this open floor plan with 8 of your family and friends without climbing over top of each other.
The kitchen is updated and fully equipped with everything you'd need for creating delicious meals and snacks.
The master bedroom has a comfortable King sized bed for your retreat after a day of sun and sand and has a private master bathroom with an updated walk in shower with a high end glass enclosure.
The other two bedrooms and bath are located on a separate wing off the kitchen. One bedroom has a plush King bed and the other is equipped with two Queen beds. The guest bathroom also features a tub/shower combo.
The Summer House complex has a variety of amenities to enjoy during your stay including indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor hot tub, and sauna room. When you're ready to head to the beach, head down the private boardwalk and on your way back in stop by the outdoor shower area to rinse the sand off. There's also a charcoal BBQ area, tennis courts, basketball goal and outdoor racquetball court.

Parking is limited to 2 vehicles at Summer House. You will pay $50 per vehicle for a vehicle registration certificate available at the guard shack or across the street at our Summer House office (during workday hours).
Summer House Restoration Project 2024-2025 Update. It is fully completed!
The Summer House Community was completely renovated over 2 years 2024-2025. It looks absolutely beautiful! This winter (2026), the outdoor pool area was also renovated and the gym is getting attention too.
Please note out House Rules: Renter must be 25 years old or older and must be present the entire stay. Guests less than 25 years old must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No parties. No Adult content creation.
Rental Agreement must be signed in order to access our property. $500 Security Deposit hold is required to receive your key code. Our family does not eat or drink in/on our beds and bedding, and as our guests we expect the same. Absolutely NO PETS!
