Mixed feelings about this place

Beautiful grounds. Pool needs a clean but gardens and loungers and outdoor areas totally delightful with great views. Ideally located for travel from Windhoek to etosha and a nice room. BUT: food awful and both food and drinks overpriced. Great walk from lodge up to the ridge. - 3-4 hour trip and needs some scrambling but fab views. I’ve from national park for walks on plateau- don’t miss!

The rooms were really large and comfortable and the bed was really really nice. Although we were not far from the main house, we felt completely secluded. We opened the net covered windows at night which made the room a very comfortable temperature.

Wir hatten die Villa mit schönen Blick auf die Berge. Sehr schöne ruhige Wohnung mit mehreren Schlafzimern. Ausflüge in die Waterberge sind möglich. Wir haben auch den Trip zur Gepard Aufzuchtstation gemacht. Sehr interessant.

Optimale private Waterberg-Unterkunft.

Wunderbare Lage, nette Gäste, Bush Bungalow traumhaft, neu, sauber, perfekt! Negativ: ein wenig unpersönlich, keine Verbindung zum Eigentümer bzw. zum Informationsaustausch. Außer NWR-Zugang, keine Tagesgasttouren am Waterberg möglich. (zB.: Wilderness!) Trotzdem eine optimale Alternative zu den anderen "Waterberg"-Unterkünften.

Wij verbleven in een mooie bungalow met buitendouche. De weg is wel redelijk te horen, maar hebben wij niet als irritant ervaren. Diner betreft een buffet waarbij iedereen aan een grote tafel met elkaar eet. Hier moet je van houden.

Nach einem netten Empfang wurden wir zu unserem Bungalow geführt. Sehr geräumig und gepflegt mit toller Aussicht. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Einzig, dass man das Zimmer nicht abdunkeln kann, könnte stören. Es werden diverse Touren angeboten, man kann aber auch selbstständig Richtung Waterberg Unternehmungen machen. Wir können die Tour "Cheetah Conservation Fund & Little Serengeti" voll und ganz empfehlen. Abgesehen von den Geparden, ist eine Fahrt über das weitläufige Farmland und den ganzen Tieren sehr beeindruckend! Unser Guide (Linus?) hat ein breit gefächertes Wissen und dazu noch Humor, was die Fahrt unvergesslich macht! Frühstück und Abendessen waren durchweg sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Das allabendliche 3-Gänge-Menü war gehoben, äußerst lecker und schön angerichtet. Vor dem Abendessen trifft man sich am Lagerfeuer zum Sundowner, dem auch die Gastgeber Harry und Sonja beiwohnen, wo man sich über Erlebnisse und Geschichten austauschen kann und auch aus dem Nähkästchen geplaudert wird. Uns hat das gefallen. Info: Wer (dauernd) online sein möchte, muss sich zentral um die Rezeption/Bar/Lagerfeuer aufhalten, da es außerhalb weder WIFI noch Mobilfunk gibt - dafür ist man aber nicht dort ;-) Das Personal war stets freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Für uns war es ein sehr entspannter Aufenthalt!

Meget landligt og smukke omgivelser god hytte med smuk udsigt ! Manglende sæbe på toilet og ingen shampoo eller bodylotion trods anmodning !! Alt for dyrt i forhold til betalt pris som var væsentlig højere end nugældende pris -ikke rimeligt !!

Die Lodge hat sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und Besitzer. Die Mahlzeiten waren schmackhaft, ausreichend und abwechslungsreich. Die schlechtere Bewertung ergibt sich aus einem nicht nachvollziehbarem Preis/Leisungsverhältnis im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Lodgen in Namibia.

Sehr schöne Guest - Farm am Waterberg. Wir wurden von sehr freundlichen Angestellten empfangen, bekamen ein kostenloses Upgrade auf den Maxi - Bungalow mit tollem Blick auf den Waterberg und wurden zu den Mahlzeiten mit " lekkeren " Speisen verwöhnt. Gegessen wird gemeinsam mit den anderen Gästen sowie den Besitzern Sonja und Harry. Die Bungalows sind sehr gepflegt und sauber, der Pool - Bereich lädt zum Entspannen ein. Wer möchte, kann eine kleine Kraxeltour mit toller Aussicht hinter dem Haupthaus machen. Begleitet wird man dabei von den Hunden der Anlage, die aufpassen, dass man nicht auf Schlangen trifft. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt!!! Danke schön !

Erholsamer, ruhiger Aufenthalt

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern zwei Nächte auf der Waterberg Farm. Die Anlage ist sehr schön, gepflegt und lädt zum verweilen ein. Am Nachmittag gibt es Kuchen und Kaffee auf einer schönen Veranda. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Dass man am Abend mit allen Gästen zusammen am Tisch sass, fanden wir eine schöne Abwechslung. Dabei sind gute Gespräche entstanden. Das Essen war sehr gut, und die vorausgegangene Erklärung in Damara war sehr unterhaltsam! Die Gespräche mit Harry am Abend waren sehr interessant, informativ und auch sehr persönlich. Wir haben das sehr geschätzt. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns das persönliche soziale Engagement von Sonja und Harry. Wir wünschen euch alles Gute für die Zukunft!
