Aspinquid Hotel

It’s a nice hotel with proximity to both the beach and town. The big issue for this hotel is parking. They do not have assigned parking for rooms and it can be difficult to find a parking space when you take your car out. Spaces left are often difficult to get a larger car to fit. Furthermore the space available might not be anywhere close to your room.

I'd like to start by saying that Ogunquit is my HAPPY PLACE, as I grew up spending my summers here with family. The Aspinquid was like being in a time capsule from the 70's. The bathroom was the ONLY thing that appeared to be updated at all in this building. We were at the beach for a Girls' BFF Weekend from Florida, and I GET IT, it's THE BEACH. I also understand it is not a 5-Star Resort. However, I would've expected more updating for the price we paid for the room. When we arrived, the A/C was not turned on in the room and it was VERY HOT. The front desk staff was very nice and did find a fan for the loft BR which was oppressively hot. It took quite a while, but the room finally cooled off by the time we got back from dinner. We wore flip flops in the room to avoid stepping on the old carpeting. Beds were comfortable and it would be tough to beat the location, BUT this place needs a major decorative overhaul.

We have stayed at this hotel for a few summers in a row and previously loved it. This year was different. Families with small kids (ours are 2 and 4) I would recommend looking elsewhere to stay. We got a call from the front desk that the people staying below us complained about our kids being loud. As toddlers, they tend to run instead of walk and that was what I believe they were complaining about. That same day, these neighbors were banging on their ceiling as a way to tell us to quiet down? Again, our kids were not causing an excess amount of noise, they were just walking in a way that toddlers do. Maybe it’s an issue with the sound proofing of the rooms or maybe we just got grouchy neighbors. Either way, as a young family looking to stay close to the beach at a family friendly hotel, look elsewhere!

Great location

The hotel is in a great spot - short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and really helpful. The only issue was that the ceiling above is really thin so you can hear the people above walking and even can even faintly hear them talking.

Location is everything!!!

Location, location, location!!! Fabulous spot to spend a birthday week!!! Wish I could’ve stayed longer!!! The service was amazing- the hotel staff stopped in each day to check on us and give us more coffee pods, toilet paper, etc. I would love fresh coffee in the hotel lobby for early morning risers. It’s hard to make coffee at 5am with others sleeping. ❤️
Walk across the bridge to get to beach.
The best beach time is early morning….
Walk into town means no traffic and no need to find parking!!!

Enjoyable visit

We had a great time. Service was fabulous. Jamil (front desk) and Jaspar (housekeeping) went above and beyond expectations. Pool was wonderful- clean and very warm. However, pool needs better lighting at night. It was tough to watch kids swimming at night. Beds were comfortable, except sleep sofa, which was horrible to sleep on when pulled out. Really is not suitable for sleeping purposes. Aspinquid is a great location, less than 10 minutes to beach and very close to town and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay!

Very close to everything, no need to drive if you’re able to walk easily. Parking lot area of hotel seems a bit too tight, especially for larger SUVs, but I managed fine.
