The home was very clean & well stocked. Loved the area - really peaceful & quiet. We didn’t try to go to the water but not sure how to (easily) without walking across private property.Overall, we really liked the home & would go back. It was much closer (to our daily destinations) than where we normally stay convenient to fuel & restaurants. The pictures are pretty accurate - looks a little better in the picture but it’s still nice. We were all ‘able’ adults so I didn’t think about the stairs up to the house being an issue but with older adults & children.. they could be, especially with little to no outside lighting. A Hickory Nut tree in the front yard was an issue for us. We were at Cruising the Coast (early Oct) with a 1958 car & the tree was in full swing! Beware your vehicles, heads & anything else you don’t want dented.

Enjoyed our stay!!!! The inside was very clean!!! Beds were very comfortable!!! The porch/deck was very nice but needs to be pressure washed! Overall it was very nice!!! The neighborhood very quiet!!!

Good location for our needs

We were visiting for a World Series softball tournament. The location was near the sports complex which was great! This is NOT waterfront. There was a huge tree blocking the water view and it’s across the street and through another yard to get to waterfront. Luckily one of our teammates were waterfront and the kids got to go enjoy it. There was bad weather during our stay and the electricity must’ve gone out while we were away because the alarm system kept beeping when we got back. We communicated with the owner and he promptly arranged for it to be taken care of. The house was very clean and met our needs. I had to replenish paper towels and toilet paper. Not a big deal but usually it’s supplied for us in VRBO homes. Also, the batteries were dead or missing in several remotes but we made it work. This area must have terrible water because after you take a shower or bath, your skin still feels like it’s slimy or soapy. No fault of the owner but just to warn others it’s the water. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were awful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Cozy home with awesome view!

Beautiful, well kept home with an ocean view. Great location to beaches and a short trek to New Orleans and Biloxi. We had an absolute blast! The owners were great at communicating as well. We would definitely book here again!

Friendliest, quiet getaway

The house is spectacular, neighbors are very friendly, such a peaceful location away from hustle and bustle. For swimming you would need to go to the City Beach but the beach in front of the property is great for walking, neighbors pointed us towards the part for walking. Very clean, all of accessories, accoutrements, showers fully stocked, two thumbs up.

My sister and I brought our Mom to Ocean Springs for her sister’s 80th birthday party. This property was exactly as described. Nice, clean and on a very quiet street - it was absolutely perfect. Our only regret? That we didn’t have longer to stay. We’ll be back!

Terrific property; helpful hosts!

We very much enjoyed our visit to Sassy Seas! The neighborhood is quiet, and there is a nice view of the Gulf from the front porch; I really enjoyed coffee time out there with my husband! Although you can walk to the shore by traversing a property across the street, there is no place to sit and enjoy the view out there. We did spend a lot of driving time to and from the beach and shops/restaurants in Ocean Springs proper, but didn’t mind. The house itself is laid out well, clean and with good amenities. My husband particularly enjoyed the shower, and the main living area was big enough to watch movies with our teens in the evenings. It was great having laundry facilities for washing beach towels. Thanks for the extra throw blankets, too! One can never have enough, Comfy beds, nice space, kitchen, and peace and quiet. That’s what I call a vacation!

Winter getaway

The property address was ocean springs but it was actually 12 miles from town. Beach was 14 miles away. Ok place but floor tiles were coming loose and hurt your feet when shoes were removed as requested. Also the heat thermostat kept resetting to low 60s at night.

Wonderful Stay!

We had such a wonderful stay! For Christmas, my sister and I decided to surprise our parents with a weekend with their two "girls" only. No son-in-laws, no grandkids, just them and their girls... The weekend we were suppose to come to Ocean Springs, my dad had a health scare which left him unable to travel. The owner, JC, was so gracious he worked with us to obtain another weekend that would work for us. The beach house was wonderful! It was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Just the perfect place to spend the weekend! The outdoor lift was a lifesaver for my parents as stairs are hard for them. They would get on the lift and say "beam me up Scotty".... It was pretty cute. The beds were very comfortable. I cannot say what was our favorite because the entire stay was perfect! My parents are already talking about going back next year and making this an annual trip! Thank you, JC, for sharing your beautiful beach house with us and letting us make memories! Everything was amazing! Amy and Tracy!

Cute Hideaway

Cute house with charming decor. At the current moment, there’s not a lot of other houses around, but it looks like some property was up for sale in the area so that might change. The trees out front block the view of the ocean, which is a shame. The only beach access is really 30 minutes away as stated, which driving got a little tiring after a while. However, the property itself was enjoyable and the check in/out process was super easy so that alone made this property worth renting. We loved how quiet it was! Also, beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on while out of town! The kitchen was well stocked. The only two things we wish it has was a grill or a large pot to boil shrimp (which is absolutely amazing getting fresh from the docks in the area, btw). It had everything else though, and lots of food staples which came in handy. Other than a few dirty corners, the house seemed very clean. We did have a large cockroach (American, not German) crawl up the wall the last day, but I think it flew in. There didn’t seem to any filth for it to be attracted to. The water was yellow tinted, which was little weird bathing my kids in, but maybe that’s a regional thing? I’m pretty certain that had nothing to do with the property. All the little things mentioned is why I knocked it down to four stars, but if these things sound manageable to you, everything else was wonderful and I would still recommend renting this property!
