Our experience with this VRBO was mixed-terrible start but excellent recovery/customer service from property manager, John. We arrived around 8:00 pm & discovered there was no running water. We then realized the property was not remotely check-in ready: no toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash cans, internet or working TVs. Most electrical plugs were disconnected-had to move furniture to reconnect, and the main toilet bowl was visibly dirty.We contacted John-he initially offered for housekeeping to bring supplies the next day. Given the condition of the unit, that wasn't acceptable. To his credit, he personally drove 1.5 hours late at night to assess the situation. Once there, he immediately agreed property was not suitable for guests. He explained he had taken over management about a month ago and hadn't been informed people had since been in and out.John apologized & candidly admitted he thought we might be exaggerating in hopes of receiving compensation, as apparently others have done. Once he saw the condition himself, however, he went above & beyond-moved us immediately, at no extra charge, to another property he managed that was a significant upgrade. He followed up the next morning to ensure everything was satisfactory.John was responsive, solution-oriented & clearly committed to customer service. As for the rental itself, I’d only recommend if you don't plan to spend much time there. No view or tvs in main area, bathrooms small/awkward. But beach very close!
