Das Kofelau was created for people who love traveling together without having to spend every moment together. The spacious ground floor features an open-plan living area with a gourmet kitchen, window seat, and fireplace, while the upper floor offers four comfortable bedrooms. A private garden, terraces, balconies, and an optional studio apartment with its own kitchen, double bed, and sofa bed provide plenty of space and privacy. Whether you're a group of friends, several families, or enjoying a multi-generational holiday, everyone can find their own rhythm—cook together, gather around the large dining table, relax in the sauna, enjoy the panoramic roof terrace, or simply retreat to your own private space.
Three modern bathrooms ensure a relaxed start to the day, even for larger groups. Families with children will appreciate the thoughtful amenities, including high chairs, cots, bed rails, a changing table, stair gates, bathroom step stools, toys, and books for different age groups.
Our sustainably built timber home enjoys a peaceful location on the edge of Oberammergau, directly below the Kofel mountain—the village's iconic landmark. From here, the village center, the gently flowing Ammer River, hiking trails, and cross-country ski tracks are all within easy walking distance. At the same time, you can fully enjoy the tranquility of nature right outside your door—whether on the spectacular rooftop terrace overlooking the Ammer Valley, in the private garden, or on the west-facing balcony with its beautiful evening sun. Thanks to the ideal south-facing orientation, you'll always find your perfect sunny or shady spot throughout the day.
The heart of the house is the beautifully equipped gourmet kitchen with a large cooking island and induction cooktop. Passionate home cooks and professional chefs alike will find everything needed for memorable evenings together. Premium appliances by Neff and Bosch, Wüsthof knives, generous amounts of tableware, mixing bowls, chopping boards, and ample storage make cooking a pleasure. A DeLonghi bean-to-cup coffee machine provides espresso, cappuccino, or Americano whenever you like. A separate pantry with an additional fridge-freezer and a large sink makes catering for larger groups effortless. For outdoor dining, a premium Outdoorchef gas barbecue is available on the terrace.
