Location was great. House was ok. Older home and only parts were updated. Owner texted us very early on our first morning there (before 8am) to instruct us not to put thermostat below 70 degrees (we had it at 67). Washer and dryer are in the basement.

Great views. Kitchen and dining area are not updated. Bathrooms and bedrooms clean. Cabinets cluttered in kitchen. Maybe owner is waiting to remodel before purging worn out items. Does not smell of pets but signs (dog hair) obvious. Our two small dogs did not have any issues with lingering smells.

Exactly what we needed. Can't speak highly enough about our experience with this rental. The only thing that could have been better was that we didn't book a long enough trip. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to our next stay.

This hone was wonderful. My family & I were sad to have to leave. The location, the layout of the home the indoor/outdoor areas, the very short walk to the beach, the kitchen, the living room and the parking. The host met our every need. It was like visiting family. You can tell that they have put a lot of thought into giving their guests' a worryfree vacation. We cannot wait to go back.

We had an absolutely wonderful week’s family vacation here! It was our 2nd year back - bonus was being able to bring our dog with us. House is spacious, well stocked, clean, plenty of space to spread out, gorgeous deck views and a fire pit! The location is perfect! Marsh view is so beautiful - perfect for sunsets! The owner is very friendly,responsive and happy to help whenever needed. Hoping to come back again!

Family fun!

Other than a slight issue with the AC on the first day - which the owner was on top of and got fixed, it was a great place for family fun. I loved the salt marsh behind the house and the wildlife that came along with that. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. A great place to stay.

Great family beach trip

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back! The location was perfect with beautiful marsh views and a short walk to the beach. We loved bird watching from the living room and dinners on the porch. The beach access was handicap accessible and an easy walk to the beach even with little kids. Terry was easy to communicate with and attentive. Rooms were also a nice set up for grandparents, parents, and kids. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Family Vacation!

The house is wonderful. Beautifully laid out and CLEAN! The owner was very responsive and willing to help if/when needed. Extra bonus was being able to bring our dog with us! We have already booked for next year.

Fabulous place!

Terry’s place is one of the better beach houses we have ever stayed in. We’ve been renting beach houses for close to 40 years. This one is a gem! It’s nearly private with the marsh behind, an empty lot and then woods to one side, and a residential house on the other. 2 easy blocks to a handicapped beach access which has no stairs and includes a rubber mat to the beach. Luxury! We usually rent a golf cart but didn’t need one here. The house is excellently equipped with all you need to cook and relax. The house is sturdy and doesn’t shake or sound like an empty barrel when using the stairs. The beds were comfortable. The outside shower is roomy and neat. Multiple outside areas to hang out. Terry checked in with us and was quick to answer when we had questions about the area. It was clean even in the basement. 10/10 would recommend and would love to stay again.

Beautiful house, amazing location!

This house was beautiful and was a quick walk to the beach! The owners communicated with me throughout my stay to make sure everything was ok and asked if we had any questions, which was very thoughtful. The only thing that I highly suggest is that you take pictures of everything, including carpets upon arrival. But overall I would highly recommend this place, we had a great vacation!

Amazing Property

This house and host are truly 5+ stars! The house itself is clean and bright, well equipped, private, and an easy walk straight to the beach! Terry is thoughtful and responsive. This is by far the best house on Oak Island! We will be back!

Best house on the beach!

We have traveled to Oak Island each summer for the last 10 years and have stayed in a lot of houses. This has been THE cleanest house thus far. It’s rare that I walk around in bare feet but, you totally could in this house. It has easy, walkable beach access which is great now that Oak Island has ‘pay to park’ at all the beach lots. The owner, Terry is very quick to respond to any questions. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic Vacation Home

This vacation home is beautiful inside and out. The house has quite a unique orientation which allows for great views of the ocean and the salt marsh as well good natural lighting. Very easy short walk to the beach. The views of the salt marsh from the windows surrounding the living area are amazing…they almost look like paintings that are constantly changing throughout the day. We hope to be back soon!

Gorgeous views with location to beach and marsh side!

We loved our annual spring break trip with our cousins this year at oak island. This house has amazing views and multiple areas for the kids and adults to spend time catching. The ping pong table in the garage and open space under the house was a life saver when it rained all day. Great views from every room. Highly recommend!

Awesome home on Oak Island

The house was roomy, bright, well stocked and very private with the marsh out back and vacant lot next door. We loved the location and short walk to the beach. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The whole family(plus the dog) absolutely loved spring break on Oak Island.

Wonderful Home Steps to the Beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location really is top notch - beautiful marsh as your back yard with ocean views from the front of the property. You are just a few hundred feet from the ocean!!! The home well stocked, pet friendly, and was very comfortable and spacious for the 5 adults and 2 kids we had. Terry was a great communicator as the host. We look forward to returning!

Fantastic Family Vacation

The home is very spacious with lots of places to relax and the marsh views are beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked and it was wonderful having a pantry. It was such fun playing ping pong in the air conditioned basement and cornhole outside. It is a short walk to the beach and there are chairs and an umbrella at the house. There were no issues. It was a perfect time for us. Terry responded quickly to any question I had. It was so nice of him to have paper products, hand soaps and detergents in the house when we arrived. Wonderful!

We couldn't have asked for a better house for our family! The house was super clean when we arrived, and the location was amazing! The marsh view from the back windows was beautiful, and the walk to the beach was very fast and easy. Our boys loved the ping pong table in the garage! The host, Terry was very fast to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely come back again!
