Firework Haven

We decided to get out of the city for the 4th as the dogs can't handle the insanity of the fireworks in our area - I stumbled across this listing and later discovered that Norwood is a Dark Sky community, and boy did they deliver! House is a great location not too far from town, but careful the drive does sneak up on you, and the house is cozy. It does get toasty in the afternoons, but if you open the windows at night the breeze is always cold. Bring a sweatshirt and pants so you can look at the stars outside, they're phenomenal.

Rural retreat in ranching community near (45minutes) Telluride.

My wife and I met in Norwood 33 years ago and decided to return to reminiscence. We were not disappointed. This is a charming private old ranch house away from town and any neighbors. The house was everything we expected. Plenty of room and all of the amenities. It is not fancy, but is not lacking in any amenities. There were deer and prairie dogs all around. Nice fenced in areas for your dogs. The house is convenient for all of the attractions such as the Lone Cone, Lake Marmonte, Telluride, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Ouray, and many other beautiful locations. We were completely thrilled with this property.

This is the second year we have selected this cute little house in Norwood. It is the perfect house to fit our stay. Every thing you need to prepare your own meals. Very comfortable, nice fireplace, perfect sitting room for your morning coffee or tea. Dark sky for star gazing at night.
