Do NOT rent through Elliot Beach Rentals

Couldn't check in until 7 (due to cleaners). They came but did not clean. There was no vacuum or mop in the unit. They had to come back out - cleaning at 10 PM. They had to hunt down a swiffer Mop and a spray bottle. Still was turning our feet black. Had to rent linens and they left out a king fitted sheet. The comforter in the twin bed room had pee stain on it. Black mold in master shower Blew a fuse plugging a CPAP machine. Light by the bed - receptacle - stopped working. No can opener. Lock on door was a nightmare. For what was paid, the place came across as extremely row rent. We will never rent through Elliot Beach rentals again. Read 2021 review for room 606 South Shores - same issues - still not cleaned in 2022. I want money credited to me for this failure!

Beautiful location that needs a real cleaning as well as better staff

The location was exactly what we wanted. The balcony view, the overall unit size and layout was nice but the condo was far below expectations when it came to being clean. There was no over looking the fact that nothing had been done though we were texted at 12noon the room was ready. We arrived at 4pm to find nothing had been vacuumed or mopped. There was sand dirt and more in the tubs as well as many visible old spill stains on the carpet. There literally was not an area you could look at without seeing old food, grime , dust, markers, chip bags , paper towels etc behind, beside, under or near ALL furniture. The dust was so heavy on all fans , tables, beds, sink edges , trim molding, celing vents etc that it was black / thick and just beyond what anyone would find suitable for a premium priced Ocean Front 3bedroom 3bathroom place. Our 1st 3 hours were spent waiting on a recleaning vs being able to melt right in to our stay. Those poor girls did all they could in the little time they had but they could not deep clean the entire unit the way it needed to be. One bedspread was missing and no one ever came to provide it. I paid for the linens and we NEVER used any of their blankets. After seeing how poorly they care to take care of the living areas I could not stomach them. Luckily we bring along our favorite blankets. We could not use the master bedroom sliding doors as the blinds kept falling off and were so aggravating that it was best to just leave it and accept the fact it’s useless. Quite a disappointment! The master toilet has issues filling and flushing. The pools etc were nice however the security guards are a little off. They all want to linger and strike up talks of issues the place has , their personal lives and horror stories of injuries no care that my 10 yr old is hearing this negativity. It made using the accommodations uncomfortable at times so we didn’t enjoy them as much as we should’ve been able to. Also they allow people in the hot tubs and pools with open containers of beer while drinking and leaving cans rolling around and lighting up cigarettes at their will. The security guards are even smoking and on personal loud calls as you try to enter the pool area no care that you may not want yourself or your kids exposed to any of this on your family’s vacation. Overall the trip was okay but it was far from what I hope or expected it to be. I do not think I will ever rent another Elliots Rental Property or recommend them.
