This was our second and last trip to Hotel Riu Palace Antillas. Let me start by saying we brought nine people with us to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. We arrive before check in get checked in and was told our room was not ready which we understood and was told they would send us a text when it was ready. So off to get something to eat and have a drink and pool time. the rest of the group got their room and when I went back to the front desk to ask about ours still not ready back to the pool and at 4.30 I went back and when I ask it was ready yes it has been ready after I said maybe you might just want to move us to another room. So we get to the room to find only one towel and one washcloth so I call the front desk to ask for more and her answer was we will have you more on the way, so we unpack and head to join our friends at the pool. So after an hour or so we all decide we would go shower and head to dinner. When we get to the room still NO towels so I call again Reply we will have them right up Yes we shared towles this happened for three nights. The entertainment stall at the pool have No idea how to keep the crowd going playing the worst music ever. The staff in the buffet very unfriendly and never smiling. If it's that bad this might not be the job for you!! I will give a shout out to a couple of bartenders that were nice Freddy, Nelson,Louis. The last day our group decided to go next door to Riu Palace Friendly staff great time. Very disappointing place

Swim up pool bar was disgusting, the water filters were never on and the water was slimy and cloudy. No drink service at the beach, which was littered with empty cups and trash. Drinks were completely watered down with little to no alcohol in them.

1. Why no electrical outlets on both sides of the bed? We had to ask for an extension cord and run it all the way across the room to a plug in order to use our CPAP machine. 2. Each time our room was cleaned, our safe was tampered with and we had to get the hotel staff to come reset it. 3. Our TV would only work on one station. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone. No one ever came to fix the issue.

Do not like the dining process. You need to be on line about 5/5:15 to get to eat in specialty restaurants at 6:00. Not really how I want to spend my time on vacation!!! Also when I checked into my room we had no towels. Called 3 times before I got any. Next day same thing. Next day same thing. Now I realize this was probably the people working on my floor but I called front desk several times and still no help. Received a number for a person to call with any issues, they were never there to answer. Overall not happy, won’t stay again.

Staff was nice. This in no way reflects them. However, the property needs updating. Limited restaurant choices. The late night restaurant is a waste of time. Needs moisture protection on rooms, AC systems not the best. Pool closes at 6. Sister property repairs too noisy from some rooms. Pick your room wisely or you’ll be looking at repairs taking place and loud club noise from below.

Overall the staff and property location were amazing. We encountered helpful and friendly staff members and we loved the access to the beach. However the property could use some updating and the food menus and restaurants could use revamping. We purchased the Elite package and found some perks to be helpful, but on the first night, we were unable to access reservations at the special Elite restaurant and all other appealing dining options were already booked. We recommend making an option for Elite members to be able to access a special dining reservation for all restaurants on the property, not just the Elite restaurant.

🌴 Extremely disappointing stay at Riu Antilles Aruba 🌴 I stayed at Riu Antilles and it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From early mornings, hotel staff start mowing grass and using leaf blowers at 7am till 10 am . Add to that incredibly loud music from pool parties + aerobics overlapping from 2 to 5:30 PM, making it impossible to relax. But the WORST part — nonstop construction noise (drilling, hammering) from the neighboring RIU hotel for days.they start at 8 am !!! Finish at 6-30 pm!! Nobody warned us. I even left early and moved to another hotel, but RIU refused any refund. I have everything on video and papers about my check out and complain! The “adults-only” claim is misleading — kids from the public beach are constantly around. Inside the hotel, staff talk loudly in the hallways at 7–8 AM, walls are paper thin, and every step from the room above can be heard. My room had a rock-hard mattress, sewage smell from the shower drain, and freezing cold AC in the hallway like a meat locker. Reception staff was nice and food was good — that’s literally the only positive. RIU clearly doesn’t care about guest comfort. No apology, no solution, no respect. I wrote complaints, I asked for help — no one gives a damn. Never again. I’d rather sleep in a tent than spend one more dollar on this company.

Staff was extremely nice. Food was ok nothing exceptional. Not enough options for vegans and vegetarians. No beach bar service. Hallways could be vacuumed more often. Facilities are older needs updating. Not well lit at night outdoors. Needs better entertainment at pool/beach. A lot of broken beach chairs. It’s the little things that matter. Would not stay again.
