The resort was fine - The management co who sponsor the rooms was terrible. Booked 12 months out and they cancelled 24 hrs before trip They only filled 3 of the 6 nights and we had to move rooms in between. SCAM!

The resort was great. Two days before we left for our fully paid week we were told they did not have a room for us in the middle of the week. This added a lot of stress and required moving hotels once and rooms 3 times.

Excellent location. Crowded because of spring break but the host and amenities were great. Our condo was very nice. Check in was definitely not until 4 like stated even though the front desk attendant said it may be earlier.

Marriott Aruba Surf Club

Resort was beautiful! We had a problem with securing all the nights on our original reservation, but was able to secure 6 of the 7 nights. Housekeeping was supposed to come midweek, but they did not. Overall - a really good trip!

The location was fabulous! We couldn't have asked for a better room. We were in the lighthouse part of the Surf Club with an ocean view. The room was exceptionally clean and stocked with basic amenities. The room we had was quiet meaning you didn't hear other people next door or across the hall or above us. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this Resort! And finding a rental on VRBO was a great value! The only negative thing I would say about our reservation is when we checked in, our reservation had three different reservation numbers ,we weren't quite sure what that meant then we found out we would have had to move three different times. I said that was unacceptable and Liza at the front desk with the help of a manager got us to stay in the one room during the entire stay. There were also some Resort taxes that I wasn't aware of I believe that they were Government taxes that wasn't included with the VRBO price. Not a lot about an additional 14 a day. I did reach out to the host to inquire about this because I thought that I'd already paid the taxes. And it was confirmed that there are additional Resort taxes on top of the VRBO fee. But in general I highly recommend it! Christian my host was quick to respond, I have rented from him before and was just as quick then to respond.

Entire process was terrible

From check in to check out the rental process from the vrbo owner was terrible. At check in for my 7 day stay, I had to check in for 5 different rental numbers and had to check in for each and go through full process for each rental. After that I was told one of the rentals have been cancelled so I could check in but it needs to be resolved or I will have to leave after 2 days and then check back in. I called the contact for the rental and they did not know why it was canceled. The next day I had to go back to registration and another rental was made for the canceled 2 days but it was for a different level of reservation and I will have to change rooms twice during my stay. I would have to move from my Oceanside room to a garden view (overlooking the parking lot) view. I again called the rental contact and they said they will fix it. The next day I had to go back to the front desk. They said it was not fixed but they will let me stay in my room but had to change rooms on the last day. I again called the rental contact and this time spoke to the manager. He said he is sorry but could not do anything. I explained I received a 7 day rental and had no idea I would go through this hassle and did not expect to have to change rooms to a lower level room during my stay, when I paid for the same level room for my entire stay. He said there is nothing he could do and also said he would not give me any refund for going from an Oceanside room to a parking lot view. Overall it was a mess

The Marriott Surf Club property was wonderful. Clean and spacious 1 bedroom condo with full kitchen and even a washer dryer which came in handy. The amenities, especially the lazy river, were a hit with the family. While the resort was definitely crowded, we were able to get pool or beach chairs each day with a little planning. We had a minor snafu at check-in but it was resolved quickly and we were even able to get to our room a little early. Overall, I would recommend this host and property!
