Sjaak and Sonia's apartment is such a gem among rentals in Aruba! Impeccably styled and very homey and well-appointed, there are no generic condo feels here. It has a magical, whimsical quality from the detailed landscaping and lighting along the property, to the decor inside the actual apartment. The indoor-outdoor layout is very unique and enjoyable too. The bed itself was very comfy, and my favorite luxury was the bathroom – spacious with an amazing shower and water pressure. There is tons of storage and shelving for your belongings, and it's all spotless in general. The kitchen is fun to cook in, with any appliances or glassware you might need. Sjaak and Sonia are exceptionally kind hosts, and will be as available as you need them. I stayed as a solo woman traveler, and felt very safe. Highly recommend their unique rentals for your stay as a central home base in Aruba slightly away from the resort streets!

We had a good time at sjaak and Sonia’s apartment. The location to the beaches was good. We rented there car. The apartment had all the amenities you need to make it home. It was nice and secluded and Sjaak and Sonia were easy to communicate with.

Great stay!!!

I was very lucky to find this "hidden"-GEM while booking last-minute for our trip. To me, this was as near a perfect stay in Aruba as I have EVER had. This property has it ALL. Upon entering, I was surrounded by a very impressive collection of tropical foliage in an open courtyard with a pool. Walking into our private seating area I noticed the well-appointed outdoor kitchen/dining area (Big plus here). I felt a nice afternoon breeze, then walked into the cool ac of the studio. Comfortable bed on the right, with windows, tv, and ac unit right where they should be. To my left, a curtain hides a large modern ("wet-room" style?) bathroom. As for the amenities? Never in ANY of my Caribbean stays have I ever had as many appliances or cooking utensils at my fingertips. The location can't be beat either, minutes to EVERYTHING. This brings me to the hosts Sjaak and Sonja. Not only did they make us feel like long lost friends, they treated us like FAMILY! Like I said, Great stay!!!
