The property is old and in need of upgrades and renovations. I had already prepaid for my stay and on check-in I was asked how I would like to pay for the stay.

Ok stay, too pricey

It was a nice hotel but too pricey for the quality. The breakfast is ok. The location is ok as well. The pool is in the courtyard which does not allow sunshine during the entire day and the water is freezing.

Very nice modern hotel with pool...only drawback is location which is a bit far from Nizwa Fort & Souk... however since you always have a car in Oman - Its ok. Very bad breakfast - cold food, low or no choices, being an arabic hotel - not a single arab dish like arab breads or hummus etc

Value for money

This hotel is in a good location, a very short drive from historical Nizwa. We went for a suite, which was good as it gave us plenty of room. The hotel is a little tired and old fashioned but value for money. It is located on the highway into Nizwa so isn’t exactly picturesque, but if you’re after a convenient pit stop for Nizwa this place will do fine. The only criticism is of breakfast which was awful - neither fresh nor traditional (some stale croissants and plastic cheese).

Does the job

There is nothing wrong with this place. It's clean, it's relatively close to the city center, and the people at the reception are helpful. The hotel restaurant is adequate --- noting fancy but you'll be fed and politely. The location is uninspiring at the corner of two thoroughfares.

very low price quality ratio

The room had a wall in front of the window -- not pleasant to be in during the day, and extremely noisy -- impossible to sleep uninterrupted before 2 am and after 6am. It was by the elevator and by the staff door; given the corridors have tiles on, every noise is audible inside the room. There is some red light in the room which stay on the entire night...... On top of that, the hotel had some kind of repairing/ renovating works going on, which would start at 7:30. The reception fellow was unaware of it?! In conclusion, one needs her/ his eye mask and ear plugs to sleep. The linen and mattress are okish, so is the breakfast.

Budget hotel

This hotel is good for those on a budget. Transport is required to visit Nizwa centre for souks and local restaurants. The bedrooms are clean and tidy but the bathrooms could do with attention to shower fittings finish . Although coffee making facilities are available in the bedrooms - no fresh milk is offered nor available - only coffee mate is available - not good in tea! The swimming pool is a welcome amenity. There is a good choice of food for Breakfasts.

Given that all hotels in Nizwa seem to be scattered along the expressway leading to it, we found the Al Diyar surprisingly comfortable and a good base for exploring the souk in the evening. It had quite a good restaurant serving simple thinks like shish talk and doing them well, which we found to be a big help and reasonably priced.

Too many problems

There were a lot of problems with my room and it wasn't very clean. After arriving, the staff had to come fix 2 problems in my room. Then, I realized that the TV wasn't working either. It was completely frozen on one screen, but I couldn't be bothered calling them to come fix another thing, so I just didn't watch TV. Then, on top of that, the next morning, the shower overflowed into the entire bathroom because of a problem with the drain. The only positive part of my stay was the breakfast.

Good value for the money in Nizwa

Aldiyar hotel was great. It's close to the center of the city, it's got great rooms, a great restaurant, and a lovely swimming pool. Staff are helpful and quite pleasant. Highly recommended for a stay in Nizwa.

ニズワの中心から南に3キロ強。交通不便そうだが、乗合タクシーに慣れると便利。とはいえ、車を有する旅行者向けか。部屋は値段の割にゴージャス。プールも付いている。タクシーチャーターを依頼したら、ルートの念押し、値段交渉までしてくれた。
