If I could give this location a 4.5 I would. I generally reserve 5's for luxury or "above and beyond" locations. This location is exactly what it appears to be, a "cozy" motel outside of town that appears to be being rehabbed. It was in reasonably good, clean condition and well appointed. I say reasonably, because there were definite signs of age, the bathroom door didn't pull tightly closed, and there were some cobwebs here and there, but nothing you might not expect from an older, countryside motel. So, if you're looking for a modern, higher-end experience, this isn't the place for you. But if you're drawn towards a slightly more "rustic", vintage vibe, this fits the bill. We really liked the location, along Interlachan Rd, on a large plot of wooded land with a nice view (but no direct access) to Gull Lake out of the front. It definitely had more of a cabin feel to it. The price was great and the communication from the owner was excellent.
