Great stay, Great food, Great service

Nice room with all needed amenities incl. really nice Lavazza coffee. Great pool (really clean), amazing beach just outside our room (waters of the Bengali Bay...and that water is very warm) and DO eat at the hotels restaurant (Brizo), since they here make some of the best local food we have had on our entire trip in Myanmar (try the Mutton Curry!). And though you may wish for egg and bacon (which is always good), then treat yourself with a local breakfast soup called "Shew Taung Noodle Soup". It's just unbelievably good :) On the beach you can rent an ATV for appr. USD 14 per hour. That is great fun and will take you around easily. It's not part of Eskala hotel, but do try it :) The small village is only 5 minutes away, and there are plenty of local restaurants, shops and hairdresser (mens haircut: USD 0,90...yep).

Relaxed to the max!

The overnight bus from Yangon arrived to Ngwe Saung at 4:30am. Thankfully our room was ready and the hotel could check us in so early! We were so grateful for this, plus our room was upgraded, which was another amazing bonus. This hotel/resort was absolutely beautiful, clean and in as-new condition. Lovely friendly staff, and honest too because I forgot my phone in the room after checking out and housekeeping returned it to me! Location is on a clean beach but we weren’t allowed to swim because of the strong ocean current. The pool is nice and big though and the grounds are filled with palm-trees so it didn’t matter we couldn’t swim at the beach. The meals at the restaurant are delicious and generously portioned. And good buffet breakfast. Just a short walk into the main town, but not much to see/do there besides souvenir shops and local “grocery stores”. You can also hire bikes at the hotel, not sure how much it costs though. I’d definitely come here again to relax and unwind, it was a great experience!

Beautiful hotel on the beach

Outstanding hotel on the beach and walkable to town and bus stop. Large room with modern features. friendly staffs who can assist with bus tickets (the only way to get to Ngwe Saung) and arrange for taxi to bus station (if needed-it's about 10-15 minutes walk). Food at hotel is wonderful.

A nice relaxing spot by the ocean

This was a nice place to kick back and relax for a couple days. The breakfast buffet was good, and so was the dinner menu. The infiniti pool was very nice. The beach was gorgeous. It is about a 6-hour drive from Yangon.

Awesome place for relaxation

We enjoyed our stay at Eskala from the first sip of the welcome drink to the last breakfast infront of the stunning pool. The staff is exceptional helpful and friendly. The rooms are big, the beach is nice and clean. Perfect place to relax for several days or weeks.

Nice and Friendly with a few flaws

The physical facility of the lobby, pool and restaurant area - open-air and literally on the beach - were second-to-none. The room was large and well-appointed; however, the rooms were definitely not quiet. Large tour groups arrived and made a lot of noise until late at night. So, while it should have been a quiet, secluded beach getaway, it wasn't. The WiFi, by Myanmar standards, was strong in the main building, but I could not get WiFi in my room (no big deal). Additionally, the staff are very friendly and helpful and have clearly been trained in customer service, but they seemed inexperienced and unsure in several of our interactions (also no big deal).

Excellence Customer Service

It was superb! The kids have lot of fun at the beach and a pleasant stay. Especially to the staff in Eskala, they were extremely patient with us when we have many enquiries. Great hospitality! We will definitely recommend friends and families to this hotel. Last but not least, if there are ways to have freshly baked warm breads that will be great!
