This property is managed not by an individual owner but by management company, so the communication was not personal but rather institutional and businesslike. The studio was freezing when we arrived, and we were surprised by pieces of equipment (portable radiators, little humidifiers, large boxes with tubes running out through windows) throughout the space. Street parking nearby was hard to find, so we had to park blocks away in an expensive garage. It wouldn’t take much to make the studio a warmer, welcoming place: a warm rug, luggage racks or bench for suitcases, a better bed, a lamp on each side of the bed. It was a disappointing expierience.
