Ruhige, preiswerte Gegend, ideal zur Fahrradfahren
Wer kommt als Deutscher schon auf die Idee, im Bourbonnais Urlaub zu machen? Wo ist das überhaupt?
Meine Lieblingsgattin wollte ins Massif Central, aber das habe ich mir angesichts meines Alters (73) und einiger Herzprobleme nicht mehr zugetraut. So habe ich mal wieder Hilke Maunders Homepage „Mein Frankreich“ befragt und bin auf die nördliche Auvergne, etwa 100km nördlich von Clermont-F. gestoßen. Hier haben wir im geographischen Mittelpunkt Frankreichs in der Heimat der Bourbonen eine Fewo gebucht. Die Beschreibung stimmt 100%ig, nette Vermieter (ebenfalls um die 70). Das alte Haus hat dicke Mauern und ist entsprechend kühl. Im Mai ging’s abends ohne Heizung nicht. Bäckerei im Ort fußläufig erreichbar.
Hier kann man sehr schön Radfahren: Leicht gewellte Topographie und unzählige, gut ausgebaute Feldwege. Überrascht waren wir auch, noch so viele dieser typisch französischen Restaurants anzutreffen, wo man mittags für 12€ ein komplettes Menu bekommt. Ja, und dann ist es natürlich auch nicht weit bis Vichy, Clermont-F. oder Montlucon.
Für Nachahmer sei empfohlen, die A79 bereits in Digoin zu verlassen. Hier folgt nämlich ein Maut-pflichtiger Abschnitt als sogen. Flexi-Route, wo man seine Maut innerhalb von 72h im Internet nachzahlen muss, wenn man keinen Telepeage hat. Wenn man das nicht rechtzeitig erledigt, bekommt man 90€ Verwaltungsaufwand aufgebrummt. Uns hat der Vermieter freundlicherweise geholfen. Google kennt die Adresse "Fragny" nicht, aber der Navi
