All aboard!
I have found it hard to find a way of starting my review of our time on Arcadia as I think each one of our family group left a little bit of our heart there.
The location is fabulous with the City Centre and Citadel both being in easy walking distance.
The accommodation itself is spacious, comfortable and gets lots of natural light.
The three bedrooms are reasonably spacious given the restriction of being on a boat, and the living room doubles as a 4th bedroom for larger family groups.
The kitchen was small but functional and equipped with a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.
The open plan dining room/living room area which is spacious and comfortable.
Above deck there is a spacious covered area with a dining table which is great for lazy summer holiday breakfasts, and a sun area with tables and chairs.
The owner is very responsive to any questions or issues you might have.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time onboard and will certainly be back for another stay on Arcadia.

Schönes Boot mit viel Platz
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, das Boot ist sehr schön und bietet viel Platz drinnen und draußen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, ein Auto braucht man eigentlich nur zum Wasser kaufen, das man aus der Leitung nicht trinken kann. Leider hatten wir zwei starke Gewitter und daher zweimal einen Stromausfall. Der Vermieter hat diesen aber - auch am Sonntagmorgen - sehr schnell behoben. Würden wir noch mal buchen!

Une expérience familiale unique sur l'eau !
Nous avons passé une nuit incroyable en famille à bord de ce bateau. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement et avec bienveillance.
Le bateau est magnifique et parfaitement entretenu, avec tout ce qu'il faut pour une escapade confortable en famille. Ce dernier était spacieux et très propre, avec assez de place pour que tout le monde puisse se détendre.
Nous recommandons vivement cette expérience pour toutes les familles en quête d'une aventure différente et mémorable. Un grand merci pour l’accueil chaleureux, Julien a su se rendre disponible pour toute nos questions tout comme son employée Mona lors de notre arrivée. Cette attention aux détails, ont rendu ce séjour encore plus agréable !

Wir waren für 2 Nächte auf dem Boot und es hat alles gut geklappt . Es war alles was man braucht vorhanden, der Vermieter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Ein Punkt Abzug wegen dem nicht benutzen vom Fön. Jederzeit wieder 👍

Sehr schön, mit ein paar kleinen Einschränkungen
Das Hausboot ist schon ein sehr spezieller Ort zum Übernachten, mit einem äußerst gemütlichen Sonnendeck. Die Begrüßung war nett, professionell und in Englisch.
Die Lage an der Maas, mit wenigen Gehminuten bis in die Stadt, zu zwei Bäckern und zur Zitadelle ist sehr gut. Der Verkehrslärm ist an Deck etwas störend. Parken ist mit ein wenig Glück in näherer Umgebung möglich.
Leider fehlen in der Beschreibung der Ferienwohnung einige wichtige Details. Das Boot ist autark. Der Strom wird über PV erzeugt und Wasser gibt es in Wassertanks. Das heißt, dass stromintensive Geräte wie Föhn etc. nicht genutzt werden dürfen. Das Wasser an Bord ist kein Trinkwasser (besser kaufen). Die versprochenen Fahrräder, das Kajak und die Wassersportausrüstung waren nicht vorhanden und wurden trotz Nachfrage nicht geliefert. Die Zimmer sind in Teilen sehr klein und ohne Abstellmöglichkeiten, die Betten quietschen so unglaublich laut, dass man nicht schlafen kann und das wichtigste: Auf Grund der Lage in der Maas können nur 3 Fenster geöffnet werden, und diese liegen im Flur, sodass die Schlafzimmer ohne Frischluft sind - das muss man mögen. Im Sommer ohne Klimaanlage stelle ich mir das nicht schön vor.
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit an Bord, wenn man von dem Schlafmangel mal absieht :-).
Ein zweites mal würde ich das Hausboot nicht mieten, dafür ist es zu teuer.

Very nice host
Julien is a very nice host, who helped us with information and solutions whenever needed.
The Arcadia is an interesting ship an it was a unique experience to stay on it. One should know, that only the entrance door can be opened to have fresh air.
The city of Namur is definitely worth a journey and the friendliness of the people is outstanding. Not to forget the numerous places to buy and eat the famous Belgian chocolate.

Het was een leuke ervaring, de boot is heel tof en mooi ingericht.
misschien van vooraf wat meer informatie over het concept van de boot (electriciteit en waterverbruik zijn beperkt, niet erg maar had dit graag van vooraf geweten). voor de rest een heel vriendelijk persoon.

Onbekend Namen ontdekken
Heel fijne verblijf gehad. Een woonboot als verblijf, dat zie je niet elke dag. Het verblijf was netjes en uniek. Mooi dek met zowel een grote zitbank als een lounge set voor 6 personen. Ideale vertreksbasis om Namen te ontdekken (5min stappen van centrum). Nette slaapkamers, ruime leefruimte, kleine maar gerieflijke keuken met vaatwasmachine en senseo. Een aanrader.

Namur vom Wasser aus
Wir waren 1 Woche in Namur unterwegs und haben das Hausboot als Ausgangspunkt gewählt, um mal direkt am Ufer der Maas zu sein. Die Lage war perfekt. Namur ist fussläufig gut erreichbar, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe und ein toller Blick vom Sonnendeck zur Citadelle. Abstriche in der Bewertung haben wir gemacht, weil nach der Objektbeschreibung das Auto beim Schiff geparkt werden kann, dies aber behördlich nicht erlaubt ist. Somit blieb das 600 m entfernte Interparking als zu bezahlende Variante (15,40 € pro Tag). Außerdem gab es einige Einschränkungen bei der Stromnutzung.
Dennoch war es ein gelungener Aufenthalt.
