Early season get away

The property was just what we needed for our group. Our two grandchildren and the four adults all enjoyed our time at the property. The very close proximity to the beach was amazing. From the hot tub to the jetted tub we could not have had a better place.

Great location

Terrific location, close to beach and walkable to dining and ice cream! Overall property in good condition. Home theater, pool tool and foosball were great. Some mattresses need replacement.

This house needs many upgrades. The cleanliness could have been better. The walls had markings and the vents were disgusting. The bathroom toilet wasn’t functioning and the locks didn’t work. I do NOT recommend this house.

Perfect for family of 5 and set of grandparents

This house was perfect for a family of five (including 3 teenagers) and a set of grandparents. 4 bedrooms on the mid-level floor plus laundry set up was perfect for the family of five to all be together while us grandparents got the master on the top level by the kitchen/dining/living rooms. Location is perfect with 5 min walks to the beach or across the street to Jockey Ridge State Park. The weather wasn’t great this week which isn’t surprising for spring, but this house has such a great set-up with foosball and billiard tables, theater room and hot tub, we found plenty to do to entertain ourselves including the teenagers! The house was very clean, really comfortable and nicely decorated. Even the kids kept saying “you found a good one this time grandma!” :)

Absolutely wonderful house!!!!

This property fit our family of eight adults and four young children perfectly! The weather was cool and rainy the first day, but that did not dampen our fun. The house had - media room with a 100+movies, a foosball and pool table. Four bedrooms/baths on the second level were perfectly arranged. And a fifth bedroom/bath on the third level worked great for aging parents to be on the main living level. Would have been very nice to have had an elevator for them. The stairs were a bit for them to navigate. I have some suggestions but nothing negative to say about this place. We had a great time!!!

Overall the house was as described, and met our needs. However, several things added up to somewhat of a disappointing final assessment. The outdoor furniture was filthy and not appealing to sit at, much less eat off of. It was not just a matter of wiping it off. It needed to be power washed. One of the pool lounges was broken, the top for the hot tub was falling apart, and the mechanism to help open it was broken. It was stated that there were 2 gas grills available, but there was only 1, and it had no propane in it. We had to go exchange the tank before beginning to cook our meal. Of the 8-10 pool sticks that were there, only 2 had tips on them. The carafe for the coffee maker had a hole in it, and coffee went everywhere, so that was unusable. Several lightbulbs were burned out. The tvs were a nightmare. Some equipment wasn’t even hooked up, no instructions anywhere about anything for the tvs. I don’t think it even has basic cable, but who knows. None of these things are deal breakers, but adding them all together left some disappointment in our experience. All of these things are things that seem easily remedied and maybe worth a little more effort, for a much more satisfying experience. Still need to figure out reimbursement for the exchange of the propane tank.
