Decent motel, well-stocked kitchen

We needed a place for a niche, and this was our choice. It was a decent motel, parking in front of the room, and a good supply of dishes etc in the kitchen. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. Very convenient to everything in town.

Outdated motel in desperate need for new beds.

The motel is very dated. We had to switch rooms because the cigarette smell in our "no smoking" room was terrible. The next room was not much better. The second room was missing its smoke detector (go figure). The bed was very hard and old but the room was clean. The cleaning person was very nice, though.

This property was actually disgusting. Everything was grubby, broken and just gross. Bedside tables with no tops, poor cleaning of glass table, all different old chairs, and don’t even start me on the filthy carpet! I had to wear thongs because my feet ended up black. There was a funky smell in the room also. The rooms are NOT what is pictured online! Not even close. I didn’t feel unsafe until we went for dinner and came back to a piece of paper folded up and wedged under the door. When we opened it, it had what I think was tobacco in it! Just weird! The location was good though. Just a small walk to the pub that served lovely food.

We paid $175 for a motel unit that was not the one advertised, I have copies of everything with photos of the one we booked for 175 and where we were was nothong atall like descriotion and photos,misleading and falsely advertised, we met the couple next unit to us and they said they paid $104 For their unit with same sleeping accomodation , I will be taking the matter further and seeking a full refund

Start with the good, the lay out of the room was good, no problem. The bed, queen, was sagging so bad, knew it would be bad. The biggest problem was the smell. The carpets were mostly black from dirt, so my best guess, from the smell, and state of the carpets, that they used a carpet "freshener". I did everything in my power to get rid of the smell, door/windows open, fans, everything, nothing worked. I tried to change rooms, knowing it probably wouldn't solve the problem, either way, no one was at reception, closed. I truly did not want to try and find another hotel at 9:0clock at night but the smell was making me feel ill, head aches, swelling and nausious. I have stayed at, easily over a 1000 different types of accommodations in my life. Huge range, from tents and hostels to 5 star hotels and everything in between, mostly everything in between. Long story short, I had to leave and find another hotel at 10:0clock at night. Went back to Mid city in the morning to complain, reception still closed..... I had a big day of traveling and couldn't wait around.... screwed.
