Great location near the train station and good restaurants, hot breakfast, public bath and pajamas to wear around the hotel. The Route Inn was everything we needed for our visit to Morioka.

I just want to say thank you to manager who helped me out during a severe rainstorm and was very helpful with translation as well. My original hotel cancelled my reservation, after I had a calm and restful stay at route inn ekimae. It was meant to be... to stay at a better hotel.

If it weren’t for the rock-hard mattresses

The mattress is rock hard and accordingly had a horrible night of sleep - the most important aspect a hotel stay. A comfortable mattress topper would make this a much better hotel. Otherwise, slightly above-average hotel.

Good value for the money

I would say it's a good value for the money. The location is great, right across the street of the train station and is in walking distance to good restaurants. The public bath is also good and clean. The room is a bit small but okay for the money (we stayed in a twin bed room). Breakfast buffet was okay but you have good choices of foods. The bad thing was that the elevators smelled. And the Wi-Fi connection was really weak on the higher floor and the side rooms.

Location excellent near to shinkansen station. Room is very standard, breadfast better then expected with many changes in dishes over 4 days. Onsen is simple n ample. Staff at reception and room service are professional. Given the price, I would give it good stay n will repeat my stay.

Small but comfortable.

Small but comfortable for a 1 night stopover. Close to the station and reasonable breakfast. Nice Onsen. OK for the price.
