Not fancy, but a gem--worth considering.

The rooms are not fancy, and the bathrooms were among the smallest we've been in on our Italy trip, but the service and shared spaces were exceptional. Nicola, Valentina, and Alice provided thoughtful advice and suggestions regarding things to do, restaurants to eat at, and were enormously pleasant to chat with. The outdoor garden areas were beautifully shaded, lovely to sit in and read or have a glass of wine on a hot day. A car is recommended, as Storyville is a pricy taxi ride away from the train stations (about 20 euro); too bad the bus service is so terrible, because Storyville is a great getaway for the beach and for rest and relaxation.

Great for the price

An overnight stay on our return north to England. Very easy to find. All personnel very very friendly and helpful .. recommenced a restaurant just 300 metres down the road at the small airport .. sounded bizarre but was excellent ... chef made his own style of Pizzas .. also recommended. Bedroom basic but eating area good and excellent breakfast. Close to beaches if thats your thing. Recommended for the hospitality,

Very helpful staff. Room compact but well equipped and adequate for an overnight stay. We had many great breakfasts in Italy but this one was the best. There is no lift but there are ground floor bedrooms.

Nice beach stay

We booked this stay via Expedia on a blind shot since it was that or not have a place to stay. We were very happy with our stay - the desk staff were extremely helpful and we were fortunate enough to get a semi-detatched room with an air conditioner unit in it. The building is an older one and was probably refitted as our shower was very minimal. Breakfast was outstanding each morning, and the bikes on hand to rent were capable.

Great hotel, amazing staff. Pathetic washroom

Great location, really friendly and helpful staff. It is not for the size of the washroom and the fact that you do not even have a shower stall, makes me not to want to go back to this hotel again.

Expensive stop over in Cinquale!

Very tired decor in the hotel indeed! Clean serviceable room, not unlike a shabby travelodge! Good breakfast, but still no personal service to speak of. However, the garden was lovely.

Friendly hospitality, great value for money!

Great hotel in a nice quiet (yet quite central) part of the Tuscan coast - Cinquale. Free parking on site, and extememly nice and friendly staff. We were given the option to choose from 4 rooms and selected room 16 on the groud floor, which I would recommend. I was worried that it might be noisy being close to reception but we had no probelms with noise at all. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive, fresh and tasty, and was closely monitored I noticed, so nothing ever ran out. The best part of our stay in the region was a restaurant recommendation that Nic (Hotel Manager / Owner) gave is, up on a mountain which was a 30min drive. This was an amazing experience and made our stay in Cinquale - We will never forget this so thanks so much Nic and Valentina for a great stay and great hospitality.

It's the people

We stayed for 3 nights. Ended up in a little bungalow a couple yards away from the main part of the hotel. For us, it was GREAT. If you're fussy about luxury, you may not be satisfied. It was well, kinda, rustic ... but PERFECT for our needs. There was a small issue with a blanket, but the staff jumped on the problem immediately. Even Rolls Royce has an "oops" now and then! The staff and owners were all super friendly and constantly hard at work. Luxury can be nice (and we have stayed in some 5 star hotels in Egypt), but in the long run ... it's the people, their attitude and behavior that make a vacation spot worth coming back to. If we have the chance to return to the area, we would stop there again. gayle from Colorado

Short stay at Storyville

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights and it was just perfect. Room was nice and clean. Service provided was excellent. Very friendly staff. Would stay there again for sure! Kudos to Nicolas and Valentina!

Hotel Storyville realy pleasant place to stay.

This hotel is family run busines and they are very helpful and friendly. Considering the very reasonable charge, free car parking, free wireless internet and the good food I would gladly visit them again.

schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem Kundenservice

wir haben dieses Hotel eigentlich nur für eine Übernachtung gebucht. Und wurden durch die Freundlichkeit und den Service des Personals und des Hotelinhabers sehr überrascht. Es war ein kurzer aber sehr schöner, beeindruckender Aufenthalt. Wir werden uns dieses Hotel als Zwischenstation für unsere Italienreisen fest ins Adressbuch schreiben.
