This property was very well-located in the garden district near a lot of beautiful homes, near restaurants, and near Alabama State University. Two things were negative. There was not sufficient hot water for all seven people, no matter how we staggered the showers. Second, the lighting was quite dim in some of the rooms. The house has great potential, but I would suggest the property management company make a punch list of things that need attention and fix them. For instance, showers had conditioner, shampoo and body wash (I think), but nothing was marked so determining which was which was a trial-and-error process. There was no facial tissue, not enough mugs for the number of guests in such a large house, and, there was no railing for the steps to the front porch. There was nothing wrong that we couldn’t deal with, but many little disappointments. The management company was somewhat responsive, good for a few questions and concerns, but not so good for others, like getting more towels out to us quickly (we were staying for five days) or addressing the lack of sufficient hot water. I would advise people to overlook the negatives if they need the room and location, but know that the house comes with some minor annoyances.
