We chose RIU Reggae for our belated honeymoon and early anniversary. Check-in was smooth, and reception staff were excellent — especially Davia.
Booking restaurants was frustrating, as the app often didn’t work. Most were closed or fully booked. Champagne promised for our honeymoon only arrived late on the last night. We only managed Kulinarium and never tried Steak House. Buffet was the only consistent option.
Drinks were disappointing — the Mojito bar had no mint, so we had to go to RIU Montego Bay. Entertainment was limited, with shows, bingo, and the nightclub mostly at the neighboring hotel. Pedal boats were often restricted at Reggae.
The advertised US$697 in resort credits turned out to be just small discount coupons. Positives: friendly staff and chilled drinks.
Overall, we paid more for a “superior” hotel but relied on the cheaper hotel’s facilities. Unfortunately, we would not return.
