We chose RIU Reggae for our belated honeymoon and early anniversary. Check-in was smooth, and reception staff were excellent — especially Davia. Booking restaurants was frustrating, as the app often didn’t work. Most were closed or fully booked. Champagne promised for our honeymoon only arrived late on the last night. We only managed Kulinarium and never tried Steak House. Buffet was the only consistent option. Drinks were disappointing — the Mojito bar had no mint, so we had to go to RIU Montego Bay. Entertainment was limited, with shows, bingo, and the nightclub mostly at the neighboring hotel. Pedal boats were often restricted at Reggae. The advertised US$697 in resort credits turned out to be just small discount coupons. Positives: friendly staff and chilled drinks. Overall, we paid more for a “superior” hotel but relied on the cheaper hotel’s facilities. Unfortunately, we would not return.

As a common theme they put three Rius next to each other. This is a calmer one compared to the Riu MoBay. We hang out at Reggae the days we wanted to chill and relax and went to MoBay the days we wanted to be immersed in the party vibe and especially around three a clock it starts building up. Friday night’s Riu Party was a nice experience as well. At the check in there was a minor hick up and the front desk supervisor lady took the initiative and resolved the situation. In the following days front desk staff checked on us to make sure all was good - it was a nice touch. Reggea is a smaller Riu. But per person there was enough everything really and everything is close by - so I see it as a plus. For the ones who want to have a formal dinner experience they have several a la carte restaurants but we were satisfied with the main buffet and its convenience as we like eating little bit from many different things. The quality and variety of the food was very good. The service was better for the most part compared to bigger resort settings. One night we were looking for lemon wedges for our seafood dish and there wasn’t any lemon on the buffet. Upon bringing it up to the attention of the supervisor chef overseeing the dining room, he asked us to go ahead and start enjoying our dinner, he was going to prepare and bring it to us and he did.It was very nice of him. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay for us.

Enjoyed my stay! I was pleasantly surprised with the superior quality of your entertainment! Enjoyed every night! And the all white party was impressive.....HOWEVER.. ALL WHITE PARTY Did not like the BURSTING BALLOONS at the All White Party. With SHOOTINGS happening everyday in the world the sound of BALLOONS BURSTING at that party was UNNERVING to me. Did not like that at all. DINING The food was Excellent and I did not miss a meal. We were a party of seven family members vacationing and exploring the birthplace of matriarch/mom, grandmom from Brownstown. We ate at the wonderful buffet for breakfast and lunch and ate at different restaurants in the evening. We wanted to celebrate our last night together at the Steak House. Unfortunately, our granddaughter and friend had a difficult time booking online a reservation on line. I had promised to give them mine but change my mind and wanted to go myself, assuming they could probably get in if they came. They showed up but could not get in. No Reservation!!! We were disappointed...... they ate at the buffet. How could this have been amicably resolved? I understand the reason and necessity of the reservations for seating and food ordering/prepping but there are some situations that can be handled by thinking creatively and "out of the box." Could another table have been set up near us? Our grand daughte could have sat near us and eaten from the buffet. .

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The facility was impeccable and you had access to the beach and other RIU properties. My husband and I will revisit this place again and again.
