MY STAY AT RIU MONTEGO BAY WAS AMAZING..FOOD WAS OKAY, STAFF WAS FRIENDLY & HELPFUL ALOT OF POOL ACTIVITIES, NIGHTCLUB WAS A VIBE, 24/7 SPORTS BAR WITH POOL TABLES.. MY ONLY DISLIKED WAS THAT THE POOL CLOSES AT 6PM 👎

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very attentive and everything started at the stated times. The fruit punch is very good. When I asked for an extra pillow it was there in 30 minutes. The RIU party was fun with neon colors and balloons

The cleaning staff should come earlier than 3pm-4pm in the day. Great to have more than 2 pillows on the bed. The Italian restaurant was not good and the reservation process should be adjusted to allow for earlier reservations than day 3 of your trip. Gift shop should provide smaller sizes to allow for travel packing. Need another restaurant option. The buffet is EXCELLENT. The activities are great but the DJ/MC needs more work to enjoy the music but I Love the Dancers and performances. I WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!

The hotel gave us keycards to a room that was currently occupied and then required us to walk several blocks back to the check-in desk to obtain a new room. The "standard" room turned out to be a "garden room" in which the balcony faced a tree and another balcony. Finally, the restaurants were all reserved on the day of our arrival which was VALENTINE's DAY. The restaurants are all booked two days in advance and they don't tell you that info ahead of time. I complained, given the above issues, and they found an open reservation for me but when I arrived I was told I was not on the list. Otherwise the food was 7/10. they never had bacon for breakfast which is just odd. The Pepe Grill was the best. Drinks were weak 6/10 staff was just so/so. The entertainment was very good as were the entertainment staff 10/10

Don’t listen to any of the reviews except this one!!! I didn’t see any bugs at all! My room was super clean and the whole resort is clean enough to eat off the floor. No food allowed in rooms so that lets you know they want to keep their property clean! Top flight security nobody is getting thru the gate without a wristband! Buffet choices were excellent to me I ate something different at every meal. That fried rice jerk chicken steak and pepperoni pizza was my fav tho!! Drivers ready to take you anywhere you want to go. Drinks were amazing idk how many lemon drops bob Marley’s and Miami vices I had but Riu Montego Bay doesn’t owe me ANYTHING I loved everything about it!! Best money spent. I was there for my birthday. Definitely recommend to stay there.

ONLY complaint - the beach: water is murky and MUDDY. Shoreline is lovely though. This alone is a dealbreaker for a return visit. It’s unfortunate since everything else was good. Friendly and attentive staff. Great food. 5 minutes to the airport (I love this, despite the air traffic overhead at the resort).10 minutes into town. The gym isn’t great.

Entertainment and staff were outstanding. Clean property and rooms. Hard bed, cheap pillows = headaches every day. Beach and pools were great. Buffet is top notch, restaurants were average.
