Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Herrenhaus. Der Pool ist großartig, der Blick atemberaubend und die Ausstattung ist super. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 14 Personen plus zwei Kinder. Jeder hatte sein eigenes Schlafzimmer inkl. Bad. Die Bäder sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und leider riecht es etwas aus dem Abfluss. Das Haus an sich ist sehr alt und das Leitungswasser nicht trinkbar. Alles in allem hatten wir eine tolle Zeit.

Fantastic. Perfect. An amazingly perfect place for our extended family

It truly was perfect each room had its own bathroom. Each room was lovely. No one could complain. The location is fantastic. Easy day trips all over Umbria and every morning a ten minute drive to get breakfast pastries from the charming local bakery. Spectacular views in every direction. W

Beyond Expectations

This villa exceeded our expectations in everyway possible. Our family of 20 (including two toddlers) just finished an amazing week there. The villa size and room set up with separate bathrooms for every bedroom was ideal. We spent the vast majority of our time on the veranda. Simply beautiful. The views from this villa are incredible - rolling hills, vineyards, hilltowns, chapels in the distance. The pool was a highlight everyday and we drank more then a few apperall spritz's poolside. There are some wonderful day trips (or 1/2 day) from the villa. Todi and Spoleto are the closest and both so charming. Deruta is a must if you want some gorgeous ceramics - what a sleepy charming hilltop town. Assissi is a bit further away but for some of our group who went, they loved it. Spending a few days just hanging at the villa was my favorite part of the week. Finally, coordinating with Guido was simple and Orietta was amazing! We hired her to cook for our group two nights and we also did the pizza night. All 3 nights were amazing but the pizza night, the pizza (6 kinds) was to die for! We also purchased lots of the villa's own wine and olive oil for the week. Also incredible and Orietta brought us more whenever we were running low! Truly a remarkable place for an unforgettable family vacation. Grazie mille!

April wedding

Guido was amazing in communicating and helping us with any questions or requests. The property was accurately described and it was perfect for our group of 20! Everyone loved how BEAUTIFUL this property was. I will forever be grateful for the most perfect experience. 10/10!

Family reunion

Sehr schönes Haus in einer tollen Umgebung

Wir waren als Familie (20 Personen) dort und hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in einer tollen Umgebung. Gerade die riesige Terrasse des Hauses kam uns sehr gelegen, da sich das Leben doch überwiegend dort oder am großen Pool abgespielt hat.

Très bon séjour en groupe

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en scooter à travers l’Italie. La maison est très spacieuse pour accueillir un groupe, bien que certains équipements nécessitent une rénovation. Nous recommandons vivement l’équipe Orietta pour savourer les spécialités locales. La région est magnifique avec sa superbe campagne et ses villages perchés en haut des montagnes. Dommage que la piscine ne soit pas équipée de chauffage, une option que nous aurions volontiers choisie moyennant un supplément.

Excellent villa experience

As others have said, even more lovely than photos. We were 8 couples aged 23-77 for a week with room for more. A real advantage is the en suite bathroom situation, albeit some bathrooms and showers roomier than others. Highlight is outdoor dining patio where we took all meals given the mild September weather. Chef cooked two yummy dinners for us. Also glad we ordered villa owner’s olive oil and red wine. Short drive to major Umbrian sights. However, we recommend you go for lunch in nearby Sangemini for better Italian restaurants and atmosphere. Be sure you’ve well understood directions to villa since GPS misguided couple of us.

One for the books!

We held our wedding at Il poggio and it was beyond perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better location. Everything exceeded our expectations and Guido and Orietta made the experience much better! Communication was easy and check in and out was smooth!

Perfekt place and seroundings.

We were family of 23 people. Young and “old” was loving the beautiful and quiet place. With the best view. Everything was perfect. Guido always answer quick. The people we met, that helped to make the Place perfectly comfortable was all so nice. Orietta made us dinner 3 times. It was like heaven. Even all the kids loved her cocking. We bought wine from the place, because it was so good and so cheap😉 Can very much recommend this place to everybody who wants a good, beautiful and quiet vacation, in the best surroundings🇮🇹🍷

Bestes Haus aller Zeiten!

Alle 25 Mitreisenden waren einer Meinung: Ein besseres Haus werden wir unmöglich finden. Der Mix aus Alleinlage mit Aussicht, Pool, Grillhaus, Sporthaus, Platz außen und im Haus, Zimmerausstattung, Anzahl Bäder, Qualität der Ausstattung und Arbeit der Haushälter ist genial!

What a gorgeous house!!

I stayed here with 9 friends in October 2022. Like previous reviews stated, the photos online do not do this house justice. The house was big enough so no one felt cramped. The pool was refreshing, the olive trees and garden herbs made wonderful centerpieces. Orieta is THE gem of this place! I hired her to cook 5 meals for us and was blown away by how good the food was, how much food there was and such a low cost, it's the best deal. After a day of sightseeing, you come home, have a glass of wine, enjoy the sunset and voila dinner is on the table. No need to go shopping or think about what to make. Orieta and her assistant clean up as well, this truly made the trip that much better. I can't recommend this house enough. Guido is always super fast with his response and helped me arrange a car service to a winery and to the airport among other things. The house is not near any particular big town, Terni is about 15 mins away, Todi is 45 mins, Assisi, Deruta and Orvieto are all about an hour, so rent a car and enjoy the beautiful Umbrian countryside! Book now, you won't be disappointed :)

Great to be back to Italy

Over the last 40 years or more we have travelled to Italy to see family and more often or not we would book a villa for 10 to 20+ people, this year after been cancelled for two years, 21 one of us had our holiday, what a wonderful restful week, made so much better by a great villa and pool, every bedroom was big enough, each had its own bathroom, the eating area outside was wonderful for our evening suppers, we got the staff to cook a meal on 3 different nights, one was a 4 course, one was two courses and the 3rd was home made pizza made in there own outside oven, the whole week was great for everyone from age 1 to 81, the pool was very clean and cleaned everyday, i would recommend this villa for ant big groups to enjoy jim

Perfect. Literally perfect.

We were a group of 17 friends staying here over the course of a week. It is an extraordinary property in a incredible location. Huge grounds, wonderful rooms full of character and each with their own bathrooms: great facilities. Also beautiful big communal spaces plus plenty of nooks and cozy spots or space to be alone. Pool is large and lovely. All overseen by a magnificent Oak tree which is the heart of the place. Difficult to fault anything. Orietta who oversees the place was always minutes away and super professional and responsive. We will definitely be back.

Amazing stay in a beautiful villa!

Just came back from a brilliant stay at this villa. We were a group of 19 (aged 25) and had a fantastic time - the villa was even better than the photos and the pool area was amazing with enough sunbeds for all of us. We had the chefs cook us 3 course meals for 2 of the nights which was delicious, easy and great value for money. The villa is a short drive away from a great pizza place and a small supermarket (which sold everything we needed), however there wasn't much within walking distance - although we didn't really want to walk anywhere in the heat! Orietta and team cleaned the pool every morning which was great, especially after a storm on one day! One thing to note is that there is no aircon, meaning in some rooms it can get quite hot at night, but closing all the shutters in the day helped keep the rooms cooler. We all had the best time - Thanks Guido and Orietta! :)

Wonderful Place

Wonderful place on top of a hill with 360 view. We were 14 adults and 7 kids and had plenty of space. It’s a perfect place to just relax with your family and friends, chill in the garden and by the pool and cook something good (kitchen is very well furnished)
