The house we stayed in was clean and well kept. Not far from the beach and the property managers were easy to contact. They came and fixed the back door quickly when I contacted them about the knob issue. Close to amenities and plenty of food options and grocery stores. However, we stayed here with another family, so they’re 10 of us. As much as I would love to say this house was perfect for us, I can’t. It is a little on the smaller end, but doable. It only has two bathrooms which I overlooked when booking (we need 3 with so many kids) but that no fault of the owner’s. The pool is small and because it’s small, it stayed really warm. Small enough that the 4 adults only got in it once when we first arrived. I would say this house is more suited comfortably for about 6 people, 8 max. The other and probably biggest issues were- we rented a golf cart for the week to drive to the beach for kids, things, etc. only to find out there was nowhere to park it. Not near the beach access or in the designated spot owned by the community where we were staying that’s close to the beach access because there were signs that said it was for homeowners only and rentals would be towed. So that was inconvenient and also a waste of money. Also- we got up super early and set up our canopy and such in the morning on the private access only to be told by a chair service when we went back down that we were NOT ALLOWED to set up tents, pop ups, or canopies of any sort on any of the beach access that belonged to our rental. We were not aware or made aware of such prior to booking. We had 7 children, a canopy is necessary and not being permitted to set them up would have been a deciding factor when booking this rental. I was informed the HOA changes their rules frequently which is fine, but again that was pertinent information for our family. Luckily the condos beside our access were mostly empty and we were still able to set up just to the side of our access. Had that not been an option, this would have made for a very unpleasant trip considering we would’ve had zero shade because it’s not economically sound for a family to have to rent 4/5 sets of umbrellas and chairs from whatever company smothered our beach access. I say all that to say that if you are a large family or family with kids, make sure you ask these questions before you land on this rental. Outside of that, the trip was great and we made it work!
