Misleading Listing – Full-Time Residence, Not Professionally Cleaned
This stay was nothing like what was advertised. We were led to believe we were booking a clean, dedicated vacation rental, but it turned out to be the host’s full-time residence — cluttered, unclean, and filled with personal belongings including a fridge full of smelly food and a pantry packed full of junk food. We had nowhere to store our food from our cooler or dry items, so they cluttered the kitchen.There were prescription bottles with the host’s name, a calendar showing their family’s schedule, and even login credentials for their other listings taped to the wall. The house had not been professionally cleaned — food splatters, sticky grime, unsanitary bathrooms (including a wiped boogers all over the wall in the master bath next to the toilet), and bodily fluids on bedding were just some of the issues. We had to ask multiple times for basic necessities like towels and pillows, which were delivered hours late.The host repeatedly denied living there, despite overwhelming evidence. This experience felt deceptive and unsanitary. It ruined our trip. I would never book this property again.
