This is an absolutely beautiful “Boutique” Hotel overlooking the main canal going through Middelburg. The train station is on the other side of the canal offering easy access to hotel and bike rentals. The rooms and entire hotel were spotless with modern spacious rooms. Nice buffet breakfast with dining room also overlooking the canal. We enjoyed the outside on street patio with heaters which were perfect to sit out at night. Eduard the owner and his daughter make the Hotel feel warm & friendly. This Hotel with all it’s amenities and location is the Perfect place to stay in Middelburg.

Decent value for money

Perfectly suitable hotel offering decent value for money to business travellers. The room was adequate, albeit not spotless, and a bit small. Shower in the bath tub is only accessible at a somewhat awkward angle. Very comfortable bed so woke up rejuvenated. I arrived late and left early so did not use the restaurant, cozy looking bar or breakfast facilities.

Good location to station

It was in a very good location across the canal from the station. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay. There was no tea making facilities which was a shame, as this is something you automatically expect there to be in your room. The room was clean and good walking distance to the shops.

Always excellent, but renovations was inconvenient

Generally speaking this an an excellent hotel. I have stayed there many times. However on this occasion, it was undergoing serious renovation. There was scaffolding all around and the lift was not operational. It was quite noisy and there was some inconvenience. I was a little put out when I asked for a reduction when paying the bill and I was told I should have asked for that when I arrived and it was too late now!!

Family Visit

Overall a perfect stay. A slight inconvenience, the hotel should be able to charge automatically from the card when booked and not just use the card as a reservation tool. This caused us a little problem because our agency back in Prishtina supposedly paid for the trip but the hotel never took the money and we were charged after the check out. Nevertheless the agency reimbursed us but ultimately the hotel should have been able to collect the money instantly.
