PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS LOCATION.
I was born & raised in Mexico City so when my husband suggested this apartment for our week vacation, I was very excited, I am very familiar with the neighborhood. The location is fantastic!! Walking distance to Chapultepec, Reforma, amazing restaurants and many transportation options available. Again, GREAT LOCATION!
We booked this apartment for 8 nights for six adults, 1 child. Once we got to the apartment the first thing I noticed was dust bunnies everywhere. Again, it is a very big busy city so dust is expected. I can overlook that. The showers were moldy and not clean.
Then the real problems started. There was only 1 half used toilet paper roll per bathroom. We had to buy our own toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, dish soap, detergent, garbage bags, etc. No other toiletries were provided. One of the hair dryers also did not work. No extra linens or pillows. The place does NOT have a coffee maker only an electric kettle.
The first 3 days we did not have hot water in the morning so if you are into cold, rejuvenating showers this is your place! At some point there was some black residue coming out of the shower in one of the bathrooms. According to a note posted to residents there had been some plumbing issues in the building.
We tried contacting the property and it was not easy or prompt! What saved our vacation was the doorman, very helpful young man and a pleasure to deal with.
