Liked: Staff & service
We stayed here a few years ago so decided to revisit. Overall it was fine, but there were little niggles: the ceiling light above the bed flashed when we moved on the bed and the bedside drawers hadn't been cleaned.
The room looked recently decorated and the bathroom was very clean, although the towels were frayed. The bed was a bit hard for our personal taste but we slept reasonably well.
Breakfasts were lovely! We had drinks in the bar one night and they were reasonably priced.
We didn't have dinner as we were visiting family.
Our host was friendly and cooked up a lovely breakfast in the morning! Brilliant having the fridge with bottled water and fresh milk available. The room was too hot for us (we like a cooler temperature to sleep in) but we couldn't turn the radiators down or off. However the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
Small village pub with a warm welcome, good food and smart rooms.
Great touches - fresh milk and cold water + a freshly cooked breakfast - superior to a chain any day!
Spotless room big comfy bed and spotless bathroom and lovely hot shower. Fabulous breakfast. . Will go back

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Standard stay.
Wasn't entirely as expected, it's my mistake as I didn't read the check in time, however after a short wait I was checked in early.. Idint have any electricity tho asa breaker was tripped. A short wait laterand again the management sorted it.. Bedwas comfortable however noise from the pub downstairs took alot of getting used to. I don't think there is any sound proofing in the room.
Overall management was very attentive, nice clean tidy room, happy with my stay, only negative was the noise but its a pub it has to be expected.
Thank you.
The room was very nice with an ensuite shower. The bed was very comfortable. The pub sold great beer. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally good. All in all I had an excellent night at the Kings Arms and would really recommend it when compared to other hotels/bnbs in the area.
