The host is so accommodating. We stayed here a month. I don’t want to leave. This house has everything you need. Country views plenty of yard and outside sitting. Outstanding screen in porch. They even have views for the little and big animals. The owner came by once to do something outside she was so nice concerned if everything was okay eager to please.

The host is so accommodating, the house is beautiful. Wish I could stay here forever. If you have any questions the host takes the time and answers all your questions. I was going through my insurance company for payment and the host worked with me completely when I was afraid of being homeless.

Return visit and once again the home was gorgeous, the views breathtaking and the hostesses attentive. They have put their heart and soul into this property from the large (preparing a third bedroom) to the small (offering a jar of local honey) there isn't a single thing they have not thought of. There is a small office areaninbone of the bedrooms, but come on, no work is getting done here it's all about rest and relaxation. There isn't much I haven't already said in my previous review, we can't wait to return again! This time it was all about the animals.
Gorgeous home. Pet-friendly with a large pet bowl by the back door. The description said "one bathroom" but actually has 2 toilets, 3 vanities with one shower that is separated by pocket doors. We woke early each morning to amazing sunrises over the water with large windows at the back of the home. Plenty of room to walk our 2 little dogs on beautifully maintained property. Large, well-stocked kitchen with both Keurig and Nespresso machines. Beds are clean, comfortable with quality linens. Thick, wonderful towels in the bathroom. AND the home has many well-kept LIVE plants throughout. The owner answered questions or concerns promptly. This stay truly surpassed our expectations!

Peaceful and warm gathering place for our family and friends. Easy access to pond and Patuxent River fishing and crabbing. Remote. but very accessible to historical sites, Southern Maryland best crab houses, shopping, DC, Annapolis and family nearby. Virtually no traffic during our fall stay. Kitchen and multiple dining area plus large screened in porches with 2 very large picnic tables are a big plus. Our lab mix also K9 had a great time too. Bathroom barn doors maybe a concern for some, but not my guys. Basement renovation almost complete which will sleep 6 and add another very large/separate gathering place. Bring air mattresses for the kids to sleep spread out. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Imagine enjoying a warm summer breeze. Now think of your favorite Monet painting. That same feeling and vision is what it’s like sitting on the porch of this beautiful home in Mechanicsville. To your left are cornfields, to your right young trees swaying in the breeze, before you a lake and barn, and behind you—all your worries and troubles. We couldn’t believe we’d lucked into this slice of paradise. The home itself is stunning. We opened the front door and just stood there in silence—everything was so perfect and beautiful, we thought surely we must be in the wrong place. The hosts have truly thought of everything, from necessities to thoughtful comforts. The stylish furniture, cozy arrangements, shelves stocked with best-sellers, a fully equipped kitchen, and charming touches everywhere brought constant smiles. The pond is just a short stroll away, and we enjoyed catching bass and catfish. Frogs, snapping turtles, and grasshoppers complete this lovely country escape. Hard to believe the “city” is only a few miles away. The house was spotless, and the hosts encouraged us to reach out if we needed anything. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the nights were peaceful and quiet—a true retreat. This truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to return. Why are you still reading? Go book your stay now!

This is a beautiful cottage in a quiet country setting. Our travel had us arriving a little early and Hannah graciously allowed us to check in early. Bathroom doors were attractive and trendy but did not lock or offer complete privacy.
