MOD Family Vacay

This cabin was stocked with anything you would need. The hosts do a great job communicating with you. This was a multi family vacay with our dogs. Wonderful memories made.

Snowy and COLD

Well outside anyway, but in Moo Meadows, it was cozy and warm! Second trip was just as magical as my first last year - love the views, the cabin, and the quiet! Everything I needed was there or nearby. It is a little slice of heaven! Thank you for sharing Moo Meadow, definitely a repeat spot for me!

We had an amazing stay at Moo Meadow. It looked even better in person than in the pictures. The bed was super comfortable. We’re hoping to make this a new Christmas tradition. We had a lovely time. Thank you!

Beautiful inside, much to be desired outside

The interior of the cabin was picturesque, the perfect look and feel you would expect in the Virginia hills. However the cabins in the neighborhood were packed together without any trees to give any privacy. The cabin also lacked a fire pit and had only an electric grill. Without these the environment of the cabin as a whole was not what we were looking for. Virginia itself is beautiful and has a wonderful feel to it.

Perfect Family Cabin

We had a great stay at Moo Meadows! It was a great cabin for our family! We celebrated Thanksgiving there! Even our 4 legged friend enjoyed his time! It had everything we needed! It was a great place! The hosts were very quick answer questions! We cut our Christmas tree at a local farm while we were there as well!

Another great stay

This is my 2nd stay at this wonderful cabin and it was just as great as my first one. The hosts do such a great job of making it feel like the home away from home! Even my dog loves to come and stay and they go out of their way to make her welcome too! the cabin is just so relaxing and the views of the mountains and pastures just added to the r and r! Can't wait to book my next trip there!

Great weekend trip

The wife and I took a long weekend trip to Meadows of Dan. We were delighted to be able to bring our dogs. Very much enjoyed the ambiance of the cabin and a great view!

Perfectly Peaceful

We had a great relaxing weekend at Moo Meadows! The view from the deck was serene, and the deck furniture was quite comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable, and my senior dog especially loved the dog bed provided. I liked that everything was labeled so we didn't have to spend time hunting down where appliances or light switches were. The cabin is full of personal touches which truly made it home away from home. We enjoyed taking a short walk around the property and looking at constellations and the Milky Way at night. Overall, an excellent fall weekend!

Mountain weekend

We spent the weekend at Moo Meadow in the mountains and had a wonderful time. The cabin and property are beautiful and the hosts are very responsive if you need anything. We were looking for something quiet and away from city life for awhile and that's exactly what we found. Would highly recommend this cabin and hope to be back again in the future.

The cabin is cozy and you can see the host’s personalities. Just beautiful! We stayed in close contact when Helene came thru. Tristi and Alex were amazing and compassionate. Thank you both very much. We can’t wait to come back.

Perfect Mountain Cabin

We were so happy with our stay at Moo Meadows! Everything was as described, everything was perfectly clean, and everything that you could want to have on hand was there. The owners have gone out of their way to anticipate your every need, and have provided extra supplies and suggestions to make your stay wonderful. Sitting out on the back porch every morning for breakfast/coffee was truly peaceful. (Just what I needed on my vacation.) And enjoying sunsets in the evening were a plus (when we were there). Each day we traveled around the extended area to explore what was available. We EVEN drove up to the southern entrance of Shenandoah National Park to spend the day (about 3.5 hours drive away, but on my bucket list!) My only suggestions to visitors: Depending on the time of year you visit, many of the local and extended local establishments are closed on certain days, or close early. We arrived at about 5:30 to the cabin, but didn't realize we needed to rush into town to find a place to have dinner, or to buy groceries. Locals suggested other places to go that were about 30 minutes away, which was fine! So just be aware of that. And: Lesson learned on my part...Always call ahead to find out if businesses are open! I was depending on Travel websites and biz websites for Open days & Hours, and posted listings were not always correct. One evening we drove to Floyd for dinner, only to find out the whole town closes up on Mon, and most on Tues. But our STAY was WONDERFUL!!

Quiet and relaxing

Your cabin was a nice little quiet getaway for us. We especially enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and reading while listening to the birds and the cows moo over on the hillside. We were glad we brought a couple portable fans to stay cool sitting on the porch. We were quite comfortable in the cabin as well. We ate in Meadows of Dan at Jane's Cafe' and browsed the country stores there. We drove the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mabry Mill, and ate at Maples at the Olde Mill Golf Course. We enjoyed the free wine tasting at Chateau Morrisette and a great lunch there and enjoyed beautiful views from the massive deck. Thank you.

Excellent place to stay

I booked this cabin for my husbands fathers day present. We were so impressed by everything. The decor in the cabin was so cute and the way everything was set up and detailed werevgreat. The views of the sunsef were my favorite part. This cabin is a great place to stay!

Fantastic and peaceful

This cabin was such a great stay! Everything was labeled and it was like my home away from home! I also loved and I mean loved just how dog friendly it was! The little personal touches were lovely! I loved the view from the back balcony which was where I lived until it rained! The hosts were fantastic to chat with and just gave me and my mom and my dog a great long weekend! I highly recommend this cabin!

Felt like a home!

Beautiful! Quality workmanship and furnishings! The beds were very, very comfortable and the home was very clean with all necessities provided! Great communications with Alex and Tristi! They even had all the interior accent lighting on when we arrived so it was super cozy! Great location close to fun things to do – we hit Buffalo Mountain for a hike, drove down to Mount Airy to see where Andy Griffith lived, and rounded out the day with a concert at the Floyd country store! We really enjoyed the drives in between all locations! This is a definite standout in terms of the Vrbo places we’ve stayed in before - like visiting the home of a friend! We’d stay there again for sure!
