Great location, awesome cottage!

Everyone in our family loved our stay in Massanutten at Nate’s cottage! Hosts were excellent, easy to communicate with and attended to every detail. The cabin was perfect for our family size of three adults two young adults and three kids. We especially loved the massage chair. Plenty of games to occupy the kids and lots of space to relax. Feel like living in a treehouse when you sit and enjoy you coffee on the large wraparound deck. Great place! Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the property and greatly appreciated the owner truly being pet friendly. The summer season is just getting started so mowed lawn to help with bug control and porch dusting would have been great. Overall great stay.

Great place for a weekend of winter fun

The house was great. Very comfortable and enough room to spread out with four teenagers. Great proximity to the mountain and after a day and night of snow falling, the resort did an excellent job of clearing the street.

Great getaway

Fantastic house to stay in enough room for everyone to have space and come together throughout the day. The patio and deck were great for hanging outdoors a hot tub, of course was always a plus. Nate was easy to keep in touch with nothing went wrong while we were there. All in all perfect location for getting together or hanging out with friends.

Excellent ski trip house!

My wife and I took our four teenagers and lab for a couple days of skiing. The property is perfect if you have a dog in tow, as there is a kennel ready available, and an excellent fenced in yard and wraparound porch for your pup to explore.The hot tub and massage chair were perfect for after ski recovery.The kitchen was easy to use and all the necessary cookware and utensils were available.There are games such as shuffleboard and foosball to play, and there are plenty of TVs, ready to use, which makes relaxing easy.We would definitely stay here again on another ski retreat.

Great Pet Friendly Gathering Place

We had a great stay with family to celebrate Christmas. The home is very pet and kid friendly, fenced yard, games and an amazing massage chair that all the adults enjoyed. Nate was great to work with. We had a hiccup with checkin time due to a cleaning staff member calling out sick. Nate was great at offering solutions and we had a great stay!!! Well stocked home, though you may want to bring some plastic / aluminum wrap if you’re making meals. Lovely very clean! Thank you for a great family holiday!!

Family Christmas Gathering

Host Nate was very responsive from day one. The home was everything we thought it would be from the picture and details listed. The game room, hot tub, and massage chair were lovely. The massage chair alone was a huge hit for the family. We also enjoyed movies while resting comfortably by the fireplace and we had lots of laughs around the dining room table. Last but not least, the beds were awesome. Best sleep we had in a long time. We are considering having a family trip once a year and staying at this property. Thank you, Nate!

Snow Fun

This property was ideally located for our tweens and teens to easily experience many winter activity firsts like ice skating, snow tubing, and skiing, and the home setup gave nice separation for play indoors. The home was "over the top" well-appointed, and Natecouldn't have been more responsive. The gas fireplaces and big screen TVs, adaptable to your streaming service, were enjoyed by all! Our pup loved having access to a sufficient fenced in yard that overlooked the beautifully lit ski slopes and golf course. We hope to return in warmer climes to try out the golf, hiking trails, and the many other activities the area offers.couldn't have been screen

Vacation in Massanutten

My spouse and I went with 2 friends for a week. The location and fenced yard for our dog were great. The house could use a deep cleaning. It was okay but could have been cleaner. The deck/porch/ yard could have used some leaf removal. I did get access to a blower once I contacted the host. The housekeepers should use stainless steel cleaner on appliances. The beds were all extremely comfortable.

Fantastic Stay

Absolutely loved everything about this home to include communication, property amenities, and location. Host was super responsive to questions and the property amenities were fantastic. Great vacation

We had an excellent time. The house was wonderful. The funniest part was trying to find all the light switches and where they went to lol we had a great time visiting both caverns playing mini golf and go kart track, hot tub and massage chair huge plus.

Terrific location and family friendly

We spent 4th of July week at this home with family. We had a range of people from grandparents to 5 year olds and this house had something for everyone. Kids hung out upstairs in fun loft game room and adults stayed on first floor. Our teenage son had privacy in the spacious downstairs when he wanted to get away. The home is located on resort property and we were able to explore water park, adventure course, mini golf, tennis and mountain biking. Truly something for everyone!!! We didn’t use the hot tub but did explore resort pools. There is a fee to access pools but was worth it for a hot summer. The house is ideal for pet owners. While we didn’t bring our pup because it was a bit too far for him to travel, this home is a dream for pet owners. Fully stocked with a crate, treats, fenced in yard, and lots of trails to explore. Clearly owned by pet-lovers. Owner was super responsive during our stay.

30th Birthday Trip to the Mountains!

Very nice House !! We had 2 hiccups while staying here but we ended up enjoying the house. 1st hiccup was the refrigerator because it was not getting cold and we had just brought groceries ‼️ so he told us to pull it out and we did but could not put it back, my friend had to keep climbing over the counter to get to her room, which was annoying. We asked host to send someone like maintenance but he said there wasn’t one and this isn’t a hotel. After 4 hrs stuff still wasn’t cold or frozen so he offered to get a cooler but a cooler was not gonna work well for 200$ worth of food and drinks. He offered to send someone out and did but the app doesn’t allow phone calls I guess so we Missed the person who came because we were sleeping and they knocked 🥴😂 and could not return .Bummer . Long story short the fridge got cold the next morning and we made the best of the 4 days and had a good time, with the massage chair, hot tub and fire places cause baby it was cold ! I would definitely recommend but communication needs to be improved with the app, host and guest.

Great location and beautiful VRBO

Not knowing anything about the area, we were so pleased that it was in the heart of the resort. This was a beautiful 3 story house with a game room that accommodated both the kids and the grown ups. It is also dog friendly. This was a wonderful vrbo and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for one in the Massanutten area.

Family retreat filled with fun!

We loved making Xmas memories in this beautiful home. We appreciated all the amenities, the dog crate and fenced in porch and yard, snacks, massage chair, game room and hot tub! We were so close to everything at the Massanutten resort. We are looking forward to returning when we can stay longer!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

Wish we could have stayed longer! Our family of 8 visited the Shenandoah Valley area for the first time this weekend to tour JMU. We were amazed at everything this house had to offer - well stocked and well labeled kitchen, a hot tub, fire table, game loft, comfortable beds. But the favorite seat in the house was the massage chair! Whether downtown exploring Harrisonburg, or in the mountains near the Massanutten Resort, this area has absolutely stunning views, top notch restaurants and shops, and a great vibe! The host is very quick to respond and very accommodating! We can’t wait to return!
