We, a family with a 7-year old boy, had a great time in Catherine’s house. It is a unique place, the only house around situated directly at the beach, with caravan parks on both sides. It is rather a bohemian place, with plenty of foutdoor space and the kitchen being outside, so do not expect pristine conditions. The house was clean overall. We had some little issues which Catherine promptly dealt with. The sea and the beach are great there, the house is at the end of the main street so it felt like the crowds were not reaching that part of the beach. Just to add that the place is on the ground floor of a two-storey house, there is another unit upstairs which is also rented out. Each unit has its own entrance, the use of the pool is exclusive to the ground floor unit where we stayed. There is no direct access to the beach, we had to go around through the host’s house garden and the gate, but it is still very close to the beach. The upstairs unit has direct access to the beach. And the a/c is only in one bedroom so when it is above 30 C it is quite hot in the other bedroom. There are plenty of restaurants around and a very decent grocery shop accessible by foot. There is also a huge Hyper U in 8 mins drive. And we did not notice the advertised barbecue, not that we are fans.
