My wife and I have stayed here just about every year at the end of July for several years and we recommend staying here. My check in experience was horrible. The person at the desk didn’t acknowledge us until they said “checking in?” To the desk. There were many people in the lobby and I wasn’t sure she was talking to me so I asked if they were talking to me and that’s when the attitude developed. Zero customer service and she forgot to load our door cards so I had to go back to the desk to tell her that the cards don’t work and she acted as though she was mad at me. She just loaded the cards and handed them back to me without a word. I stopped back a little later to ask for a cup and all I got was a nasty stare until I asked if she had any cups I could get. Extremely rude to me.

Lady at front deck was rude and talk e very unprofessional especially when the phone rang. TV did not work in my room. Staff first questioned me like I didn’t know anything. Then they tried to replace the TV instead moving me to another room. After 2 hours they realized it was the box in my room that was bad. Very frustrating after a long day of traveling and work not to be able to relax when I got to my room. They need to update TV’s, desk chairs and especially pillows

Nice place with nice views. Comfy bed. Everything works. The trains going by and blasting their horns makes for an early morning. A bizarre thing we discovered when we got here is that all the restaurants in the area are cash only. No credit cards. Even many restaurants across the river in Prairie du Chein had a cash only notice posted on their doors.

Nice location for touring McGregor and Prairie du Chien. We went to Effigy Mounds, Pikes Peak, and an Irish Pub. Good parking and views from the 4th floor. Room pretty basic, had everything we needed though.

Amazing property with plenty to do in the area! We had a fantastic stay—this property is beautiful, well-maintained, and located in a vibrant area with lots of attractions, restaurants, and activities nearby. It’s perfect for anyone looking to relax or explore. The only minor drawback is the limited on-site parking. However, we had no problem finding additional parking on the nearby city streets, which made it manageable. Overall, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!
