Wedding Weekend

We rented this place to house my daughter and her wedding party. Since the ring bearer was 3, the space was amazing for him! The rest of us enjoyed the beautiful view and many walks along the path that is right there. It was perfect!

The Chocolay, Harvey Home!

We stayed at the home, to be close to NMU and attend our Sons graduation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even the Grandma and Grandpas felt comfortable in the home! They really were interested in the homes history! We loved the view, the hot tub…greatly stocked kitchen, and the full baby set up( but our granddaughter last minute, could not make the trip with her mom and dad, those were definite draws to our choosing the home!

ski with grandkids week

The house was great, welcoming, clean, great views and bonus fresh snow to play in. Grandsons age 10 and 7 enjoyed skiing with Grandpa and parents while Grandma played with 2 1/2 year old in yard and house. There were TOYS and a good crib and fresh snow.

Beautiful location and property!

We had a wonderful stay at Valerie’s property in Harvey! We enjoyed the brand new hot tub and quick access to the snowmobile trails! 5 stars and we certainly will try to be back soon!!

Cute house & easy to find

My husband and I stayed up in Marquette for a long weekend. We pulled the trailer with our side-by-side and had space in the driveway to do that. The house was very clean but does have a little bit of a musty smell on the main floor and downstairs. The master bathroom is awesome! It even had everything you needed in the tub like shampoo and soap. The king size bed in the master bedroom is extremely soft, which we struggled with a little bit as we are not used to that! We would have loved a television in the bedroom as well, but it didn’t make or break our stay. The kitchen is updated and has everything you need. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful location and if we would’ve brought our kids, they would have enjoyed the very cute playset. Thank you to the owners for providing this space to people!

Very nice

Beautiful Cozy Home; Easy access to Marquette

The home was exactly as described and offered a lot of amenities that made the experience great when we weren't out exploring Marquette and the surrounding area! Great place to book with a large group of friends and family!

Family Trip to Marquette

The stay was amazing. We had everything we needed and had a great time as a family. The property was even closer to downtown Marquette than I thought which made access to it along with lots of trails and beaches super easy. We enjoyed Harborfest, strongly recommend the Marquette Farmer's market, had an amazing kitchen to cook in, and this property was perfect if travelling with an infant. We had our 11 month old daughter with us and the crib room was perfect for her. It got dark enough even for naps during the day which is crucial as parents know. Highly recommend the property, I can't say enough good things about it.

Our second stay

We stayed here in fall of 2022 for a visit with our NMU student. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy family time with distant college students. The kitchen is one of the best stocked of all the places we’ve stayed, making it easy to do home cooked meals. House is quiet and the view of the water from everywhere in the house makes for a great way to start and end the day. Access to the Iron Ore Heritage Trail is great for walking and biking. Loved it!

Like visiting a close friends house

The property was exactly as described in the listing. The accommodations were outstanding. My 9 year old had her first kayaking experience here with the kid kayak they had provided, and what a memory! Loved that the little river comes right out to the Lake and sugar sand beach. My little one loved time in the hot tub with dad. So many close shops and restaurants nearby while having the quiet retreat of this neighborhood, and the serenity of the woods and bayou in the back. Would absolutely come back.

Family vacation

Loved our stay here with our 4 adult kids. House was well appointed and in a great location. Felt secluded on the river while being just a short drive to downtown Marquette. We enjoyed the kayaks and walking/bike trail right at the house. Marquette was fun to explore with cute shops and restaurants along with hiking and swimming. We also did a day trip to Pictured Rocks from here, just 45 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay Near Marquette!

Our family of 8 gathered here for the 4th of July weekend. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house which had a perfect view of nature and the Chocolay River! Seven of us slept here very comfortably. This house was so well stocked with everything imaginable. I was still discovering things on our last day. (Thank you so much for this, Valerie!) I am used to having to bring so many things from my own house, but needed absolutely nothing from home here. We loved sitting outside on the deck, on the patio, and/or in lawn chairs on the grass as we caught up with friends and family in the area. We enjoyed watching the bunnies, birds, squirrels, and chipmunks playing in the yard. We also loved sitting in the hot tub, fishing while kayaking, hiking on the trails, and playing board games. We were able to walk to two great restaurants/bars and Marquette was just a hop, skip, and jump away for all the things we wanted to do in the area. My grown kids and spouses enjoyed going just down the road to jump into their ice bath (Lake Superior). Valerie was an excellent host! We would love to stay here again!

Mountain Bike Getaway

Couldn’t have asked for a better host and property! Reasonably close to mountain bike trails and downtown. Plenty of room for us to spread out. We had a couple of questions when we arrived that were answered very timely. We would rent this one again in a heartbeat!!

Graduation

We came for our son’s NMU graduation. We had plenty of room for our family and grandparents. There were 8 of us and we were very comfortable. We found the path to the lake and took several beautiful long walks along the beach. The kitchen was well stocked- we did quite a bit of cooking and sitting outside was beautiful!

Chocolay River

This stay was going to be all about snowmobiling, however, there wasn't any snow! Yet being close to Marquette there were many other things to do (and we are all quite familiar with MQT). The house had everything we needed to cook, clean, cover up with comfy throws, watch TV, and a BEAUTIFUL view. We would definitely try for snow another time here. Thanks.

Top Notch!

I cannot say enough good things about this property! The house is immaculately clean, absolutely beautiful, spacious, and has everything you need and more as far as dishes, kitchen appliances, towels etc. All the beds are super comfortable, the location on the river is gorgeous and peaceful and the hot tub is great! Because of the time of year and the weather, we weren’t able to use the kayaks or the bikes, but those are definitely an added bonus! We rented the house for our family Christmas celebration and everyone absolutely loved it. Valerie, the owner, is wonderful, so accommodating and easy to deal with. She even sent us a delicious surprise after our arrival! Highly, highly recommend!
