The property itself is a sweet little early 20th Century house with a park across the street and just two blocks from Lake Erie. All that is good. The downside is that it is in Lakeside, a Chautauqua village that sees itself as a resort. We knew there were fees for staying at the house as it's within this community, but we were sticker-shocked by the 647.50 for the three-day stay for us five adults and our one vehicle.Truth is, if you would make use of the amenities, huge pool, tennis and pickleball courts, concerts, lectures, etc., it might be worth it. But we were there for a family reunion and spent almost no time at the house. The owners mention the passes in their description, but there would be greater transparency if they listed the price of those passes, or at least a link to it, within the property description.
