Well Appointed 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Apartment At The Pool Area

Located in the mature and reserved Complex of Monte Duquesa. Set in mature gardens with walks, colorful flowers, shrubs and palm trees; this is a wonderful place to lounge in the evening sun. The complex has shops, restaurant and 2 bars for your entertainment. Luckily your apartment is not situated in the Commercial Square; so no sleepless nights. The property is walking distance from the beautiful Marina at Puerto de la Duquesa with many restaurants shops, bars, services,banks and miles of beach side promenades, miles of beach, boating, golf,country and many more amenities.
You can walk along the promenade easterly or westerly for miles. To the east is the quaint old Spanish fishing village of Saint Luis de Sabinillas or Sabby as it is known locally. To the West is the high end development of Satogrande with its Marina and designer shops. Here you have the centre of Polo activity in Spain with lots of International Tournaments right through the summer months.
Further on you have the Ryder Cup Golf Course of Valderrama with San Roque and Alcadesa nearby.
We are nearly in Gibraltar by now and it is well worth a visit. If you are going shopping for duty free drive into Gib and head for Morrisons supermarket car park; shop and explore from there.
There are also places worth visiting further on from Gibraltar and Aljericas (Spanish side) such as Tarifa (wind surfing capital of Europe and Most southerly point) Trafalgar and surrounding area. I forget to tell you that we left the Provence of Malaga and entered Cadiz back before Satogrande.

The accommodation was advertised with wifi/internet, The property did not have this. I work from home so brought my computer with me to continue working. Not only did we have no wifi/internet, we could not connect to the tv as this needed wifi. So no tv or music to pass the time. I had to go to our friend which was a 20 minute walk (up hill) to connect to their wifi/internet to carry out important correspondence and having to carry my computer up hill was a bit much.The accommodation itself was fine, a bit lax in the saucepan area - only 1 saucepan.The accommodation also lacked heating, as the weather wasn't that great and the apartment was a cold apartment. We had 3 halogen heaters and 1 electric radiator, which wasn't enough to heat the apartment. There was no air-conditioning that could be put on to heating either. A technical came on Thursday morning before we left on the Saturday with air-conditioning equipment to install not realising we were still there. He put all the equipment in the 2nd bedroom as we wasn't using it and arranged that he came back on Saturday morning after 10am to start the work. So that should now be up and running. But wifi/internet is another issue. The apartment should not be advertise that it has it. Apparently talking to neighbours there, the whole complex changed their wif/internet last year because of issues but the landlord hadn't up-dated his end of up-grading it. We stayed a month on the promise of wifi/internet.

This is a well-equipped apartment with nice little touches upon arrival.In our opinion, this is an apartment for the cooler months as there is no air conditioning. We needed a bit of cool air at night in November so we dread to think how uncomfortable it could be in the warmer months.The apartment looks tired and could do with updating noting the rust in one of the bath tubs, tired decor and main door lock that rattles and and shutters that don't lock properly.The apartment is well located and the memory foam beds are a major plus.

when we arrived and walter let us in, there was mess everywere, the terrace is not at all what the pictures show, its so dirty and mess everywere, bed frames placed everywere, the grill looked like its not been cleaned for a year. The kitchen was the only good looking place as its been renovated a bit, one of the bathrooms the bath tub has rust in it. The toilets were both dirty and dust on them under beds dirt and mess just shoved there, there were 3 beds and sofa bed in one of the rooms no space to move at all. The wifi kept turning of and loosing signal, when asked about AC, walter said he does not know if it works or not, every question we asked, he just said he dont know, dont know what the cleaner actually cleaned in the place, when we arrived and walter left, it took is hours to clean the place, also personal stuff just left in cabinets and waredrobes. No place to unpack at all, dirty dishes left inside washer. Could of been a better experience if it was clean as expected, and better communication with walter in answering our questions.

He’s only interested in taking your money

The property says it has been updated. Burned hole in side of microwave (we got it replaced - took 10 days), burn hole in bedroom curtains, rusty bbq on filthy terrace that had two mattresses on it. TV that has no signal and is too small and not Smart TV. Heating system doesn’t work, so provide 3 ineffective heaters one of which stopped working. Poor communication to resolve issues. We will NEVER stay in this hole again. 35 days of squalor.

Great Location

Apartment front door is directly opposite Pool and Gardens, lovely setting, very relaxing and everyone really friendly. Two minutes walk to Bars and Restaurants. Ten minutes walk to Duquesa Harbour, also has great bars and restaurants. We visited lots of great places Estepona, Benahavis, Puerto Banus, Sotogrande. Definately will be back.

Filthy, dirty and nothing like the photos

This apartment was filthy; thick dust on the dining table, dirty floors, hairs and stains in the bathroom. No bedding was left out - we were asked to rummage in a cupboard to find some mismatched bedding to put on the stained mattresses. One of the bathrooms had no light and no window so not quite sure how we were expected to utilise it! There were spare (stained) mattresses propped up against the wall in one bedroom and a huge plastic box left on the floor in the bathroom containing the owner's personal toiletries. We left after half an hour and booked in to another apartment. After contacting the owner he agreed to a refund but a month later we are still waiting and our emails remain unanswered. Such an upsetting experience as certain levels of cleanliness and upkeep should be as standard. I would hate for another family to experience this. I have photos to prove everything I have written here and will be sharing these on social media.

Beautiful area and location of apartment great.

Great location of apartment especially for families. Pool lovely and relaxing and local beaches very nice. Lots of restaurants only 8 minutes walk away at port area with lots of choice. A few areas of the apartment could do with updating but plenty of room for our family of 7. Thanks.

Perfect apartment with walking distance to almost everything.

Nice big apartment that was perfect for me and my children with the pool that is just outside the door. It is walking distance to the beach and grocerystore. The bus is just down the hill to Estepona or Gibraltar. We would love to come back!!

l'hote n'a jamais répondu à nos questionnements, les équipements n'étaient pas au rdv. Pas de Wifi, pas de chauffage pas assez de lit par rapport à l'annonce. Innondation dans le logement du à un défaut de gouttières d"'eaux fluviales. Le logement était encombré et sale à notre arrivée. Une des deux baignoires était rouillée. l'electricté "sauter" régulièrement par manque de puissance. je ne recommande pas cet hote.
