First time booking an expedia package, airfare plus accommodation. Booked 6 nights at the Shore Residences...overall experience was terrible. A few days before check in, I asked the host if shampoo & soap are provided. She replied yes, it is provided. On arrival day, we got to the lobby after dinner since we arrived 7pm. The security guard said that in their records, the room is already booked to someone else. It took sometime before the issue was sorted. Apparently, there was a previous booking that was cancelled but they did not coordinate it in advance to the lobby personnel before we arrived. They had to secure an email from the owner stating that the other booking was indeed cancelled. We had to wait quite some time in the lobby, and we were tired and not too happy how things were handled. I did not say a word even though I was a bit disappointed. Upon arrival in the room, there were no shampoo, soap, AND TOILET PAPER. There were only 2 towels even though the booking was for 4 pax. So, I messaged the host and the receptionist, they were the 2 people who I was messaging with during the check in mishap. The reply from the receptionist was not what I was expecting. She said there's only 2 towels because that's the standard set up. Then with regards to the BASIC AMENITIES, she said there are convenience stores nearby. Never have I booked an accommodation that has never provided a toilet paper, well, this is the very first time. Hopefully the last. The hospitality is poor.
