Michelle and Dave are truly Premier Hosts. Prior to our arrival we were provided with all the information needed and much more to make our stay at Shalimere both delightful and user friendly. Nothing out of place, everything in working order and a cozy living room to relax in front of the gas stove after a day of exploring. We had the most fickle weather during our 3 night stay; torrential rain, wind, hail, partly cloudy and briefly sunny days punctuated with rainbows. It was a perfect stay for our dog (who loves to be outside most of the time), too, as their home has a continuous wrap around covered deck on 3 sides and even during the rain and windy days she was protected if she went to the main entrance side their deck. This rental has been a favorite of ours in Manchester. The kitchen is equipped with every appliance, you will need to make delicious meals. Beds are very comfortable , home is always super clean. Access to Irish beach(private) via a gate to watch sunsets is always a plus. Great house for dogs with a wraparound, enclosed deck.Close proximity to bowling ball Beach, point Arena and Mendocino

The house was as described and very comfortable with wonderful views. We got great enjoyment from the hot tub and nearby private beach (short drive - would not want to attempt to walk it). I was surprised and thrilled by the premium cookware and well stocked kitchen supplies. Will definitely book again in the future!

This was by far the best experience we have had. The home was extrememly clean and well taken care of. They thought of everything to make our stay excellent. My wife and I brought our dog here for 4 nights for our anniversary and we were sad to leave. Everything felt like it was personally planned by the owner. Versus most places which are ran by companies or investors. I highly recommend staying here. You will not regret it. This will definitely be in our future plans to come back here. Thanks again!

We enjoyed our stay. What stood out was the attention to the details, things we might need for our dogs. Having access to the private beach was wonderful. We walked on it everyday of our stay. Overall it was a positive experience.

I play a game that if I can see whales or dolphins from inside a house, I win. Shalimere wins. Gorgeous views from the house, deck, and hot tub. Access to a beautiful private beach. The house and space is fantastic. The kitchen has all the tools you need - I always take a range of kitchen utensils and items to VRBOs, Shalimere had it all. The bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely. The hosts, Michelle and Dave, are so communicative and helpful. We loved it so much, we are coming back next summer!

Peaceful getaway

Couldn't have been better. Aside from the welcome sounds of surf & birds, this is the quietest place ever. Combine that with time in the hot tub, and you reach absolute relaxation in no time at all. Our hosts provided very clear instructions, so we didn't need to guess about anything. Tastefully designed and well-lit spaces, well-equipped kitchen, incredible views. Hope to be back!

Perfection in every way

We have rented houses 2-3X a year on the "Mendocino" coast, never the same one twice, for 20 years. Not sure why, guess they all left something to be desired. Well we have finally found the place! We are going to rebook again and make it our go to rental on the coast. The owners are great to deal with. We had to reschedule to to a family issue and they were very accommodating. And My dog Daisy love the dog bed too!

Nature and nurture

Well appointed kitchen made cooking easy and huge windows and sliding doors made for great viewing and listening to the ocean. Easy driving to old growth redwoods and great beaches. The hot tub under the stars was soothing, beds were comfortable and the gas stove was charming.

Warren Family on Adventure!

Shalimere was perfect for us to unwind from hectic holiday plans.This is our third or fourth stay and we will definitely be back! If you are looking for a clean, lovely home with all the amenities you could want or need,this is the vacation home for you. We had long walks on Irish Beach and Bowling Ball beach, checked out the town of Mendocino and played an epic game of Monopoly!

Perfect Coastal Get Away

We loved our stay here. The house was beautiful with so many windows looking out at the ocean, a cozy gas fireplace, a hot tub on the deck, perfect master bedroom with huge shower. We didn't want to leave. A closet full of board games and also a large TV with Dish and all the streaming channels. We never ran out of things to do. Will definitely stay again.
