Beautiful property, inside and out! The neighborhood kitties were a nice addition our 1st night, we returned from an outing to see 3 or 4 deer in the driveway! I'd love to return in the summer to take full advantage of the lake, the amazing front porch, and the fire pit.

Everything at the Whip Saw was perfect for our little weekend getaway. The cabin was so cozy and clean! We will definitely stay here again when we make it back up this way.

The house was lovely. Well stocked and tastefully decorated. Love the screened porch for coffee and drinks. Very clean. Would have liked to be able to see the lake. Short drive to boat launch. Host was readily available to answer questions.

We absolutely loved this property! The hosts thought of everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Really- we lacked nothing. My daughter decided she’d like to live there forever. There were plenty of books, coloring books, games, etc… to keep her busy, and she loved being able to feed the birds! The front porch is a huge asset, and offered plenty of seating options for enjoying the quiet and listening to the sounds of nature. If you want to do a lot of cooking, consider bringing groceries with you. We were able to find what we needed for two at a nearby Dollar General Market, but large grocery stores are pretty far away. In summer months, there may be nearby farm stands for produce. I HIGHLY recommend this property without reservation! Absolutely beautiful!

If I could rate this property more stars, I would! Every detail was thoughtfully and tastefully executed. The setting was private and quiet. The outside of the house was well lit with automatic lights which was nice to come home to at night. Immaculately clean. Luxurious linens. The porch was such a great, comfortable space to relax. The location was central to everything we planned. We would definitely recommend this property!

Nice property in beautiful area. Well kept, furnished and clean except for some cobwebs here and there up high. Loved the view and furnishings on the balcony. The listing says "5 min walk to SEE the lake", but be prepared that you can't actually get to the lake, you can just see it from behind someone else's property.We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Great stay. open concept of main area was great for hanging out. Kitchen had all the needed pots/pans/etc. Quiet and away from touristy areas so did need to drive a decent amount but that’s what we wanted. House was clean and host were easy to communicate with.

A lovely stay! Welcoming and a comfortable “at home” felling. Nicely decorated with attention to everything you need for your stay and very clean. We enjoyed breakfast on the porch with birds and butterflies stopping by and evenings around the fire. The location was good for touring the Mammoth area.

Relaxing journey

We had a great time relaxing, cooking, and spelunking in Kentucky. The cabin was clean, with beautiful views, and comfortable with plenty of amenities. The neighborhood cave was closed but we had many adventures at Mammoth!

Home away from home!!

The pictures do not do this place enough justice! It's absolutely gorgeous! They have it stocked with everything that you would need other than your groceries! Its so peaceful. Just a short walk to the lake! Or short drive to many other things to do. You can grill out or have a campfire and everything is already there for you! Or if your like us and just need a relaxing weekend or week this is definitely your place! I will definitely be coming back! Also they stayed in contact and let us know they were there for any questions and concerns. Great people!!

Comfortable!

The proximity to the things we wanted to do made this a good choice. We enjoyed the layout of the place, esp. the porches to enjoy coffee and watch wildlife. Our bed was was comfortable as well, very important to us. Appreciated the washer/dryer! A note to navigation: Having read another of the reviews that expressed concern about Hilltop Road, we found Jaggers Rd to be a great option as it is paved.
