was given a room that the door would not lock, the door would open by pushing on it. when notified the front desk, the comment was we had not had previous complaints about that room. then called the owner / general manager and his response was take or leave it. it was a small town with a large event, everything was sold out. my wife and I were both bit by spiders or bugs there. there was not hot water, luke warm at best. bathroom/shower barely functioning. you would be better off sleeping in your truck on the side of the road that stay at this property

Broken Elevator

I think that every time we book at the Holiday Inn there's always something not working or broken. The elevator was out of order at this Holiday Inn as well as others we've booked. The rooms were descent and the view was of the hotel next to us and a portion of the highway and city.

Smelly hotel. Hotels.com terrible service

Hotel smelled terrible, thankfully the room did not. Hair all over the bathroom floor that was never cleaned up the entire week we were there. Under construction and construction mess was left in the hallways/lobby and not cleaned up. Front desk unhelpful. Hotels.com customer service agents trained to keep you on hold as long as possible, not answer questions and won’t connect you with a supervisor when I called to try to adjust my reservation. They succeeded in making it such a pain in the a** to change or ask questions that I gave up and paid the money anyway. I will NEVER book through this website again.

I have never pad that much for a room that was a total mess the beds were so bad my husband had to go to the lobby to sit in a chair to try to sleep. We went to New Braunsfel and that place put the hotel in Gonzales to shame and the people were dressed properly and not in hole in their jeans and were really friendly at new braunfels We will not stay in Gonzales agai

Don't spend your money and time here.

The staff downgraded my room I had reserved because I booked thru hotels.com. The front desk person did NOT honor what I had paid. I had booked and paid for the night 20 days prior my stay. I do not recommend anyone staying there. The staff suggested NOT to use hotels.com to book in the future in order so I won't get the room bumped to one bed instead of double beds.
