A superb country hotel

This is a really nice country hotel, clean and comfortable and friendly. The rooms are comfortably Scandanavian, with a small sitting room separated from the bedroom by an efficiency kitchen and the bathroom. The entry door opens to an open hallway with a coat rack, and off the bedroom is a small patio with a table and chairs overlooking a back lawn including a hammock strung between two trees. The kitchen is functional with a small refrigerator and a stovetop, but if you plan to cook bring your own pots and cooking utensils. There is a kettle for boiling water but no coffee maker and no microwave. But hopefully you won't be cooking- the hotel has a superb restaurant with an extensive upscale dinner menu. Breakfast is gratis and is a smorgasbord with cheese, fruit, yogurt, granola, rolls, hardboiled eggs, and the most incredible homemade bread I've had in europe. And they don't mind if you make a cheese sandwich for lunch later. The dining room is comfortable and it opens onto a patio with tables and chairs outside, which is super if the weather is good. They also will provide a bicycle or two for your stay, which is exceptional, the island is eminently bikeable (everyone bikes) because it's flat and small. A few caveats: 1) If you drink decaf coffee bring your own, as is the case all over Denmark, decaf is rare. 2) To make a full size bed they push two twins together. this is not ideal, ask for a room with a regular queen or full if that's what you want.

Pænt værelse med god plads, tømning af askebæger tiltrængt, generelt trængte der til udvendig vedligeholdelse. Havde valg hotellet ud fra ro, desværre lå man i 3 timer og kørte på en atv.

Ganske få ændringer og det vil blive rigtig godt

Vi ankom før indtjekning og receptionen var lukket. Vi kunne ringe til et mobil nr. der stod på døren og aftale nærmere, det var fint nok. I løbet af dagen kunne man ligeledes ringe til dette mobil nr. ved behov for kontakt. Der var ikke personale til stede hele tiden. På værelset lå en seddel, hvor der stod, at ophold over 2 overnatninger, ville udløse en "rengøring" altså rene håndklæder, rengøring af toilet og tømning af skraldespande. Desværre skete det ikke på vores værelse. Vi havde 4 overnatninger, der blev hverken gjort rent, tømt skraldespande eller skiftet håndklæder. Skraldespandene der stor udenfor var fyldte, så det var svært at komme af med skraldet, der var heller ikke nye poser til de tømte spande fra køkkenet. Morgenmaden var god men lidt ensformig. Vores første dag var der små croissanter og tebirkes, det var der ikke de øvrige dage. Rugbrødet var virkelig lækkert. Da vi skulle tjekke ud, var der intet personale, så vi måtte efterlade nøglen på skranken i receptionen. Et rigtig hyggeligt sted, hvor der ikke skal meget til, for det vil være virkeligt godt. Der er virkelige fine udendørsarealer. Bedre styr på rengøringen og oplysninger inden ankomst om hvordan det foregår vil være en god lille gestus. Mulighed for valg af hvilken type æg man har lyst ville virkeligt gøre noget godt, så det ikke behøvede at være blødkogte æg 4 dage i streg, selvom det var helt perfekte i konsistensen.

En hyggelig fornøjelse

Vi havde en kort, men rigtig hyggelig ferie på hotellet. Den ene aften spiste vi 3 retters og maden var enorm lækker og velsmagende. Personalet var søde, imødekommende og fleksible. Alt i alt et hyggeligt sted 😊
