I read the reviews and found them to be pretty accurate. Unfortunately, the photos can be misleading. I will try to explain:
Great location in quiet upscale neighborhood is accurate but if you are looking to be within walking distance of major London attractions then seek another location or have mobility issues, keep looking.
The flat is a very awkward layout. You climb down some very narrow circular stairs to enter the unit. If you have heavy or large suitcases you will have trouble.
The foyer is tiny (approx 6' x 7') with enough room to enter, take off shoes/coats, and drop bags. Clockwise, to the immediate left upon entering is the door and steps down to bedroom #1. Next to that is the entryway to the narrow but functional galley kitchen. After that are the steps leading up to bedroom #2.
Bedroom 1 is small and on the lowest level of the unit requiring you to go down 2 standard steps. It has an ensuite bathroom with a shower. It has a functional and comfortable but the old full-size bed with very noisy springs.
When we first entered the unit, I noticed a moldy smell. In the narrow bathroom of bedroom #1 there was a terrible sewer smell emanating from the shower drain. I mentioned to owners and they came but said they didn't notice a smell (and left a dehumidifier for us to use). I placed a teacup over the drain that helped keep the odor out. Also, the sink had no hot water. The on-demand hot water in the shower was great!
