-one of the staff was very rude and extremely reluctant to provide help. She works in the front desk in the evenings. -there is no coffee/tea or even hot water in the room -even though the location is very good. There is a long walk from the taxi drop off to the hotel. -there is no signage for the hotel. It’s difficult to find it. -there is no proper front desk. It’s covered with big drapes. -I wouldn’t consider this as a 4 star hotel.

No one at any point said there was major construction works going on at the hotel next door. I was not even informed at check in I went through you so requested a cancellation and refund, to be then told my stay had started so there was nothing they could do. I wasn’t accepting that, I was missold this stay, who knowingly book a hotel when there would be constant drilling and banging from 7am in the morning? The agent I was speaking to very reluctantly then called the hotel who agreed to refund the following two nights, but I had to pay for the night I had already spent there with zero sleep.

I was there for 5 nights and it was a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I try to pick a good location and since I wasn't familiar with the city, I did my best. I chose well - the hotel was close to the castle and several parks. There was a huge variety of places to eat or relax in the evening.

The Hotel is in an ideal location is the big plus. Very disappointed in our arrival arrangements. Our reservation advised us to call before we arrived to get parking instructions and transport to the hotel instructions. The instructions to the parking facility were incomplete as to exactly where in the Mercsnte garage we were allowed to park. The reservation clerk we called was a “bit” impatient and was very rude and unhelpful about how we would get to the hotel. We had never been to Lubijiana before so didn’t understand the “Hotel Shurrle” service. We thought she was sending your own shuttle. We had not been advised about the shuttle’s that should be hailed. We ended up taking a cab and when we are the receptionists rude about our confusion. Better communication on our confirmation would have helped.

Lovely smart little hotel in the old town

We had breakfast here and dinner twice all of which was excellent. We were on 5th floor which was one above where the lift went so bit more of a struggle with luggage though they offered to help. Excellent location in the old town. Friendly welcome with glass of fizz. Rooms a little cramped but had all we needed. Would definitely come back.

The rooms are small but clean and efficient. Good shower with pressure and the bed is very comfortable. We stayed 2 nights in 405 The windows have curtains but because of the angle the drape hangs in a way that lets light in.. bring a sleep mask if you like darkness. The hotel is well situated in the old town, a very walkable and busy area with shops and restaurants. They only have one coffee machine so every morning there was cue. We ate dinner there one night, pricey for the offering and staff was aloof… would stay again, but eat elsewhere.

Hotel was clean and staff was great but it was so noisy due to construction. We were woken up everyday at 7am from construction. It sounded like it was coming from the wall behind our bed. Everything else was wonderful! Hopefully they finish construction soon or start after 9am.
